Yep im going to tour heaven. Got my bags packed and all....wait, I wont need luggage or anything related. Bet God has all those essentials figured out.
I hope I will be able to come back with a souvenir or something...but I doubt if that is possible.
You see my desire to visit heaven has been fuelled by all these other believers that are going there. You know, the deep sleep trances, out of body experiences, supernatural travel to spiritual worlds. Ive read, watched and listened to a lot of material about these experiences and I figured why not me too?
Well if I pray and read the bible as much as I think I do then I believe I should be offered a one way bonus trip to heaven and back. You know have a little pre-tour of the place before I finally get there.
What if im also taken to see hell? well no worries. I just hope I remember that its just a tour. Then I can come back and write my own books telling the sinners what they are gonna be missing out in heaven if they reject Christ.
Haha!!! woah do not be alarmed!! I know many of you still have your eyebrows raised like...whhhat!? This is slightly how I used to view things before God knocked more sense into my head. (He is still doing that up to today)
You see, if you also once desired to be like these other people who got to be taken on supernatural visits then you are not alone. I had actually tried a couple of things to you know, try and prod God to also take me on that bonus trip...here are some...
1. I prayed...asking God to also let me see like others had seen.
2. I promised...told God I would not shut up about it but share my experience to the whole world so that people be saved (ha I even thought this one would definitely get to Him...)
3. I composed...truth be told, I actually composed a story about Jesus coming into my room and taking me on a visit to heaven..(thought it would give Him the idea of what I wanted or how badly I wanted it.)
4. I hoped...and wished...and dreamed...and hoped some more ...and wished some more...and dreamed some more...and...
5. I imagined...my self going on that trip and everything. well they say that what you think of a lot does come to you so I decided to take my chances..
Well here I am today...with my bags still packed...wait, I forgot I didn't need the bags. But the bags are still there...oh wait! those are from another failed trip...earthly trip...
However my perception about the whole thing has changed...since the whole 'sense getting knocked into my head' thing. God made me realise that its not about what we want but about what's best for us. Its not about us but about Him. Its not about what we think is right but about what He knows is right!
Those experiences are given to people that God selects for reasons best known to him!! If people could want and get them, then everyone would have been there already. Now my prayer about this changed from 'God I want,' to 'God if it is your will.' Less about my want and more about His will. if I ever get one in my life time, I will thank God. if I don't, I will still thank God! 1 thess 5:18
When I get to heaven (God willing). Im going to laugh with God about how much I wanted to get there whilst still on earth...however even when there, He will still owe me that tour!!
