GOD'S WORD® Translation.
You will Pray and Make requests to God about many things concerning whoever and whatever you want, and there are many bible verses that we use (Some out of context), But know this, it is not that the Power of God is not there to grant your desire, it is, in-fact the mighty power that raised Jesus from the dead and set him at the Right hand of The Eternal Father is right here at work in us. However, if the will of God is not present, then the power of God WILL NOT MANIFEST!!.
We have access to God's Power, but WE CANNOT MANIPULATE IT!!, No matter how saved many of us claim to be, we are still selfish and even sometimes cruel in nature, oh, i Love the wisdom of God, God is so perfectly balanced in every way. So pray, yes pray, but if what you want is not the will of God for you, know this, it shall not be done. So be wise, be like Jesus and let this humble prayer guide your powerful prayer life, "Not my will, but yours be Done".
And might i Add, When God says yes, sometimes we have to wait, for we are (sometimes) not yet ready to properly manage/ take care of who/what we have asked for (depending on the nature of our request). So on our part we must trust the Love of God as the Power of God manifests according to the will of God guided by the wisdom of God in our lives.
May God Continue to mold us as we learn to trust and Appreciate His Love for us.
