Justification is when the Sovereign Creator God/Jesus (Jn 1:3 & 10, Col 1:16 & 17, 1 Cor 8:6, Eph 3:9), the Justifier (Rom 3:26). Judicially declares/pronounces you righteous/placing you in "Right Standing" with the Father.

Because of your works/confessions/repentance/water baptism? NO!

Why? Because you, by FAITH (in His sin atoning work) have access (Rom 5:1-2) to God's grace. Whereby, Christ imputes His Righteousness onto you. The same way He imputes ALL the believer's sins (He bought & the Father judged Him for) onto Himself.

Under the Mosaic Covenant only the high priest had authority to impute/transfer sin (see Lev 16:21). Christ the new covenant Great High Priest (Heb 4:14), not only has the authority to impute sin. He has the authority to impute righteousness. Adam's sin was imputed onto all mankind. The only way to remove this sin stain from the soul (and escape sins required wage/DEATH) is by FAITH placed in Christ's FINISHED sin atoning work!

Rom 1:
16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, “THE JUST and UPRIGHT SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.

The moment Christ justifies/declares you righteous via the baptism of His Holy Spirit (only He can preform this spiritual/circumcision). You are FOREVER (Jn 14:16), sealed/saved (Eph 1:13-14, 4:30, 2 Cor 1:22, 5:5, 2 Tim 1:14) DONE DEAL! You're also (at this same moment) sanctified (set apart for a life's work/mission).

You're now & forever justified/declared righteous/saved & sanctified. And Christ (who did ALL the work) is GLORIFIED! Amen
