What sorts of family activities do you do on Sundays?

We generally go to Sunday school and church, and then try to do some family activity. Last Sundays I took my 1st grade son on a walking trail hike through a city park. It was about a mile each way. We stopped to hop out on some boulders in a stream and throw a few rocks off a walking bridge. Sometimes I make paper targets in the backyard and let him shoot a BB gun or a little bow and arrows that I got a while back. He's still too small for either of these, but he loves them! (I think all boys do.)

Once in a while I take my wife and son out to play a few holes of golf. Not a whole round, mind you. Just a half dozen or so holes. I play from the tee box, and then I tee one up for him about 100 yards off the green. (Wife doesn't play. lol) Or sometimes we just fool around on the practice green playing a golf ball putting tag game that we made up. He gets two putts to put his ball across the green from mine, and then I get two putts to try and hit his ball. We keep score and it's generally pretty even.

Anyone have suggestions for Sunday family activities?

some times we would all play board games together. But in the summer time we would go for a drive to the beach. Sometimes even in the winter just to look for drift wood.

Build small birdhouse.
What about taking binoculars on some of your outdoor adventures. Don't know if your son will be able to use them, but try small ones. Then show him to use them and you spot and watch birds. Sounds boring, but through binoculars you see color and detail that is otherwise missed.
Fly a kite. Is that possible where you live this time of year?
Have a lunch barbecue in the park after church. Or just sandwiches with chips and juice.
How about taking him to where he can sit and draw a picture of what he sees with color crayons.

Now I'm missing my boys. Wish they were little all over again.

You're building precious memories.

We go to church and Sunday school. If the weather is nice we go to the park or the Zoo. Sometimes we go to visit family or a movie.

On Sundays I go to church in the morning and take it easy in the afternoon. I like to watch TV (mostly sports early Sunday afternoon), post on Christian Chat, and play with my computer baseball game.

I guess those aren't really family activities, but I am single.

Good ideas! We actually did build a small birdhouse two years back. Painted it fire engine red. It's for wrens, and has a door hole the size of a quarter. A pair of wrens moved in just a couple weeks after we hung it. But then last summer, no wrens. So I cleaned out all the old nest waste a couple weeks ago. I've seen a pair of wrens hanging around it. I'm hoping they move in. :)

The activities that you named sounds like fun. When my kids were younger, I would search for local and fun attractions, but not expensive. I would take them go cart racing, kids movies and to Pixie park. At Pixie park, there were rides, games and a train ride that was perfect for little ones. There were so many things to do even if it was just eating at the little park sections.
