Frightened!

Hello everyone, my daughter is 4 years old. Last night she said she saw a man standing on the side of our bed and that he walked away towards our restroom then disappeared.

She was a little scared not too much, I think I was more afraid than her, I couldn't seem to go back to sleep after that.

I believe her and don't think it was her imagination, she's very smart and wouldn't lie about something like that.

I don't want her seeing things again. Please help. It's the first time this has happened.

I would be scared as well. Did you check the window latches, look in the attic, look for shoe prints outside close to the house.

Yes everything was locked, nothing out of the ordinary. And our bedroom door was locked too.

Children are often more spiritually sensitive than grown-ups. If you have investigated your home and are satisfied that no man could have been inside... because everything was locked up. I have to conclude your daughter was seeing into the spiritual realm. Since SHE didn't seem to be too afraid... my first inclination is she was seeing guardian angel..vs... demon spirit.

I would prayerfully ask the Lord for some wisdom and knowledge about this issue regarding how best to handle it. If you need more instruction... ask others for help <like on here> because the HS will use supportive and confirming counsel from others to help you. Pray first, wait for the answer... then ask for help... NOT in any other order.

The spirit world is REAL and tho most of us have perceived little of it.... GOD gives us instructions about it so we will not be ignorant or deceived.

Thanks for your response, why are children more susceptible? She wasn't too afraid just a little, but she didn't seem bothered at all. I hope it was an only one time thing because the one who is terrified is me.

Again thank you for the support. We will definitely pray to The Lord for guidance.

I would have a police detective there so fast checking for any signs of a prowler. There's too many weird news reports about people lingering in attacks or basements or secret doors in closets.

If you get the all-clear from the police - I'd either assume your daughter had a vivid dream or God gave her vision about something.

First thing I would have done was call the cops. Nothing wrong with them checking things out.

When I was 15 I was living with my cousins' home. I had a cot in my cousin's bedroom. It was night and we had gone to bed a while earlier. (It wasn't late into my sleeping pattern, so this didn't happen at traditional REM state.) Pitch black in the room, and then suddenly there was a bright spot on my bed. I could see the white sheets, it was close enough to me that I could see the indent from my body on the cot, a few blades of grass, and a big-enough-to-eat bullfrog. I asked my cousin, "Why is there a frog in my bed?" About halfway through the question it all disappeared and I was embarrassed for asking it. (I think I was sleeping with my eyes open, but I remember my words, so wasn't sleeping then.)

It never happened to me before nor after, but it did happen. And I was very much embarrassed for asking the question, and my cousin answered, "What?" so I wasn't asleep throughout the entire thing. I'm also not making it up. It could have simply been something like that too.

(BTW, I simply didn't answer my cousin in hopes she'd assume I was asleep and might forget it the next morning. Apparently, she did, since she didn't pursue that one. lol)

That was my first thought, but then again we don't have any secret doors or basements or attics. And our bedroom door was locked from the inside. It is all too strange and I hope it doesn't happen again.

That's strange too! My daughter wasn't asleep, because she didn't seem sleepy and she stayed awake for a while after. And this morning she doesn't seem afraid.

That was a though I had, though I don't believe in Ghosts (spirits that linger) there are something's that are unexplainable. Though I don't believe in spirits that linger (haunt), I still wouldn't spend the night In a historic insane hospital.

We don't want you to be alarmed entity if paranormal is not a threat I believe. All that said treat this appearance as flesh and blood. I hope that you are not alarmed.

The celestial (spiritual) realm is eternal. We're temporarily living in this terrestrial world. So it would not be unusual for an angel to be watching over you and your child. They continually do God's will, not their own so no reason to fear them. Perhaps the Lord wanted your daughter to see the angel to strengthen her faith in God, ya know? The Lord has purpose in everything He does. :)

Yes, but wouldn't you agree that for safety reasons they act if it was flesh.

We did check and we didn't see any signs of anyone coming in, as we don't have attics or basements or anything of that sort.

I asked her more about it and she said she was only a little scared, that the "boy" meaning man was nice, but it didn't have a face. I would think that if she had seen something really scary she would've been crying or so.

When I was nine I have not seen a demon but I have felt "it" and since I have had some battles since than I have studied the bible about this (next to Christian books that explain a bit about occultism) It sounds because your girl is frightened that this was not a good experience.

When she has difficulties with going into her bedroom again and also go and have a peaceful sleep I doubt it is an angel. And angel of the Lord will cast out fear (do things to let you loose your fear) instead of bringing fear. Everything of the dark side will cause fear. Pray with your little girl and tell her that God sends His angels to protect her.

When I had my experience it helped me to have a bible and read or sing psalm 23 (I knew it by hart because of a song) When you sense yourself that something still is not ok or you do not have peace you can sing prayerfully a song in this room about the blood of Jesus. Where the blood of Jesus is, demons have to flee. Also reading as prayer psalm 91 might help. I hope this make sense if not let me know.

Thank you for the information, I will definitely read the bible today and find comfort in it. It can be a scary experience, but like you said demons flee by the blood and name of Jesus.

A demon is no threat to a child of God. You are completely safe. :) Nothing to worry about.

I was about same age than your daughter when I had similar experience. I was sleeping in my bed and woke up. When I opened my eyes I saw man standing next to me. This man was wearing something like black cape with hood over his head. I couldn't see his face at all but I knew immediately what nature being he was. I was scared. and I hoped that the being didn't realize that im aware of him. Moment later I peeked again and it was gone.

As said earlier. Pray and read Bible. Those things are real though not everyone can see or feel them. They who can must be equipped for those encounters: eph 6:10-18

When God is with us what can be against us?

I think it would be a really good idea to gather a few Christian friends together at your place for prayer and to get that spirit out of your house quick smart.

Did anyone die in your house before you moved in there? I've heard that when people die a death from suicide or murder, their spirit will continue to inhabit their house sometimes. In the building I live in, the original structure burned down in the 1800's, and it was rebuilt into an exact replica of the original. Since then, many tenants here have commited suicide, and in my old apartment, which is also in this building, I would see a dark form walk around the house and disappear into the bedroom closet. It never bothered me nor was I scared of it.

You might want to go to the library and do some research on your home, especially if it's a really old structure. :)
