Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. John 12:24 KJV

Look at the process. From death comes life. But notice, something has to die. You are not new until you are dead (I am not talking about a physical death). Many Christians want a new marriage, new finances, a new relationship, a new house, a new car, or etc. The bible tells us how to get the new. You are not new until you are dead.

So why is death necessary? 2 Corinthians 4:8-12 ERV says God gives us opportunities to die with our problems daily so we can bring something new. We are always being delivered to death because there are things in your life and mine that needs to die for you and I to become effective. There are things in my life and your life that have to die for the life of Jesus to be seen. So the reality of God's presence is based on your death. Until the five senses die they will be more real to a Christian than God.

You can't fix sin with natural solutions. Only the Cross of Christ can fix sin.

religion a guilt trippin down the lane

lalalala...and remember...you can always have a Bible verse inscribed on your tombstone when the man who is supposed to love and protect you...KILLS you

lalalalala...deck the halls and sweep the truth under the carpet....lalalalala

what does the cross of Christ can fix sin even mean?

Jesus is OFF the cross and wants us to LIVE for Him....not have our life snuffed out by a demonic caricature of a person

Yep,
I always wanted one.I hear they are very trendy!

I've had 2 in the same house...put in by previous owner...one was able to be opened...had a bird come and sit on the edge of it one day (took a photo)..a young starling and he was just sitting there watching me working in the kitchen...so cute

but one cold night during winter, I cranked up the woodstove too high and needed some cool air...I opened the skylight and it cracked! oh no!...it was hot and I hit it with the cold night air...it stayed cracked...those things are some kind of expensive

I
just noticed that this "lesson" is in his posts. Whenever we are discussing he comes in and yells CROSS and we're like "who...what?...where?" Yep,no sense to it. And I would pay good money to see you swoon,I bet it would be one show!

That is a cool story! Not so nice that it cracked. I figured they were quite expensive. My sister has one in her bathroom.Thought that was the weirdest place to put one.lol

Jennifer has told the full story since she's been on this site. Feel free to check it out and then see if she's missed one thing for letting God intervene to keep this marriage.
thank you for sticking up for me all of you gals who know the truth of what is going on... I think some people need to take a real good look at the bible and not distort the words of the lord to make other people feel like crap...

Despite this thread having become a personal chatting ground, ignoring the needs of the OP, I will add my support for leaving abuse. It's sad how many Christians get caught up in religion and think it's 'the Christian thing to do' to stay in abuse. So add one more support for your choice to leave.

Ummm
brother, you have jumped in without looking back through the convo. Both Lauren and I have defended and spoken to the OP,she has liked all of both our posts. Lauren and I have had a small back and forth but neither of us have ignored her,nor not given her good advice. We BOTH defended her against Celie whatever his name was. Im not mad,but please look back. Your rebuke is unfounded.

Perhaps you can quote the chapter and verse where the Bible says abuse is ok and you need to stay and take it? Because according to the Bible if you do not treat your wife right God won't even here your prayers. Your advice is dangerous and beyond that not Biblical and plain stunned.

Was it he or she? Either way,no loss, not with that kind of attitude.I cannot stand a man that abuses women or children.I equally cannot stand those that uphold the abuser.

By some posts in here it seems like Satan really wants you to stay in that marriage. Id say go for a divorce. And im not saying that to jump on a wagon, but I saw what abuse does as my father was abusive. And also on other occasions where I saw it with other people besides me. God bless you sis I will keep u in my prayers
