I am wondering. So many times i hear people say, God told me, or God let me see,.
i never had that experience. Maybe i am here so often to ask people to pray for me, maybe they have a better prayinglife.
when i am praying i do not feel anything and for sure i never heard a voice talking to me.
I have to say, praying is hard. All these thoughts going to my mind its like a circus. The best prayers i have is when im walking around the house and just talk to Him.
but again, there is nothing comming back. Yesterday something happened and i cried out. To the Lord. But its only oneside conversation. What do i wrong. How can i be quit for the Lord. I really want to feel His presence

The desire you have for Him is His first and most common response. That desire is His message back to you. He simply spoke your heart in heart language, rather than to your ears or to your feelings. You are blest that He has given you such a desire for Him. Just keep walking around and calling out. And trust that many of the thoughts that come to you are Him telling you waht to pray about next.

Have you tried just telling Him, "God I want to hear from you, so now I'm just going to sit and wait until I do"?

That's a Blessing to desire of GOD because it's HIS Joy to commune with us HIS people. first I would suggest having a special time you set aside for just GOD and you everyday same time pray, study the Bible and be still and listen, expect to hear from HIM, anticipate HIM communing with you in anyway HE so choose it can be outward or inward except it and rejoice.

Blessings!!!!!!!

your okay, most others are listening to their imaginations. God doesn't speak to you in words, but in insights and revelations that are very rare here. Don't be concerned.

It takes discipline to hear from God. When you spend time with God on a daily basis-- through prayer and reading the word you begin to recognize his voice. I don't mean an audible voice. He gives impressions and you hear him in your mind. Sometimes I pray about something and he may not answer me right then and there, but he might answer me through the word or a preaching. I am very sensitive to God and I never put him in a box. I have faith that I will hear from him and he speaks to me in various ways. If you hear negative thoughts then you know that isn't from God. Every good thought comes from God. It's good to memorize scripture so that you train your mind to think the right things. Get in the habit of praising God and being thankful. When you do that you set up an atmosphere to hear from God. Whenever you are trying to seek God's will, read the word of God and make sure it measures up with the word. Another thing to Keep in mind is that we have to wait for many things in life because it's in those moments that God does his best work in us.:)

First there is no right way to pray, all that matter is you spend time talking with God. Second God speaks to us in many ways, for some they might hear an actual voice, others they might read something in the Bible(God's Word to us) that speaks into their situation, or maybe someone speaks into their life, etc. Don't put God in a box, trust that He will guide you and His direction will com in His perfect timing. Also look to God's Word when looking for answers as well, God has spoken into so many things in His Word. God Bless and keep seeking.

communication is a funny thing. i'm free to type whatever i want into this little box, trying to convey a message, and i can even use bold & italic font, colors, etc -- but i'm really very limited in comparison with what i can communicate if we are face to face - when you can see my eyes, my face, my hands as i gesture, and hear the tone of my voice -- i can use my whole body in addition to the spoken or written word to communicate.

what does God have at His disposal to communicate to you with? the whole universe.
'listening to Him' isn't quite like listening to another human being. though He may speak to you in words, this isn't the only thing He can use to talk to you. God loves those that wait patently on Him, and His sheep know His voice. keep seeking after Him and when you pray, pray with thanksgiving, as though you know your prayers are answered in His will - because they are.
you may find that He's been speaking to you all this time; you just didn't realize it for what it was - like Samuel, it took 3 times and some advice from a wise elder before he understood what was happening.

sin & doubt stops up our ears and closes our eyes. trust, seek, listen, and have faith - He's the Almighty, and nothing is impossible with Him.

I disagree with you ma'am. God does speak to you using normal words, in your own dialect. I have said it before and I will say it again, God spoke to me in a way that could not be ignored nor mistaken what was said exactly.
Try and put a big stereo speak just behind your head and have a loud song playing, then turn up the volume all the way. That would come close to how God spoke to me one time and one time only. And I wouldn't want Him to ever have to do it again. I have yelled at my children when they were little, but not the way God did to me. He scolded me for doubting and being hard hearted toward a man of God. He also corrected me concerning a verse in the bible that I was using against the story of this man of God who went to heaven.
Now, having said all that, I would suggest you stop seeking to hear an audible voice from God. God does not encourage that in scripture. God doesn't normally speak in an audible voice but He does speak to you in your own dialect with real words, if you stop busying yourself and spend time in His presents. God is faithful.
If you do what tenderhearted said, you will start discerning and hearing God's voice. Most likely it will sound like that still small voice spoken of in the bible. But the closer you walk with God and especially the more time you spend in His presents and Word, the more you will hear from Him. Heart felt praise and worship in spirit and in truth, is another things God inhabit and seeks in His children, respectfully.
My wife is in prayer throughout the day with our children, and she as well as my children, hear from God more than I do. They spend more time with God than I do. My wife hears and sees the most, she also spends the most time in prayer seeking God.
Hope this is helpful.

God is speaking. You just haven't learned to hear His voice through all the other noise. :) Trust me. Most times, He gives us the answer but it is either exactly what we want so we think it can't possibly be Him or it is not what we want so we fear that it is, in fact, Him. :) Once you realize that He is speaking, you will be able to hear Him clearer and clearer as the loud din of the worldly voices and your own voice falls away. :)
