Happy Easter. This day should remind us all that sin and death was defeated. In Christ we have salvation and in death we will live. Simply we are just changing locations. The origin of salvation comes from the Greek soteria, noun of action from past-participle stem of salvare, meaning "to save".

If the resurrection didn't occur then our faith is futile. To be saved would still depend on the Old Testament methods. Judaism, temple sacrifices and observance of the Mosaic law.

1 Corinthians 15:17 NIV
17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.

Our flesh may fail but in Christ our portion is forever. As in our promise of eternity in His Holy presence. In death the material world no longer matters. We no longer have control and our eternal lives are solely in the hands of God.

Psalm 73:26 NIV
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

The resurrection provided us assurances, giving us the confidence to hope for the unseen events to come. This is faith Hebrews 11:1.

From this we need not fear those who may wish to do us harm. But instead we are eternal minded and need not fear the trials, tribulations, natural disasters, war and rumors of wars. We can respond as courageously and boldly as Moses did to Pharaoh, as David against Goliath, or Gideon with his army of 300 vs The Midianites, the Amalekites and all the other eastern peoples had settled in the valley, thick as locusts. Their camels could no more be counted than the sand on the seashore.

Matthew 10:28 NIV
28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

We may be isolated but we are not alone. God is omnipresent meaning God isn't held within space, time or matter. He is with you always. The Holy Spirit is within you. And the Church even though temporarily separated is taking every advantage to reach those who need encouragement.

I encourage everyone to take the time to put life in it's proper perspective. Have a great day!
