Hello...

I`ve come here to ask for your prayers because I'm desperate. Me and my sister have been as close as twins since we were born and I love her a lot.

Right now, she`s going through very tough times. She was diagnosed with a mental disorder and is constantly depressed. There isn`t a day when she doesn`t think about how beautiful it would be to just sleep forever and never wake up and her husband, although he`s always been there for her, is now putting a lot of pressure on her to get a job and criticizes her for every little detail. I can understand he`s affected by the way things are in their lives and just wants her to be happy but he doesn`t know how to channel his frustration and fear and its hurting her.

I`m afraid to receive a call one day telling me she decided to end it all. I`m very anxious and scared everyday... It`s something I don`t desire for anyone to feel, its horrible.

I hope and pray everyday that Jesus the Lord will help her get a job and take away all the sadness in her eyes. I pray for him to keep their relationship and for her to be happy. Please, I'd like it if you could pray for us, since this tough times seem to have no end. I`ll never stop having faith...

Thank you for taking the time to read this my brothers and sisters. God bless you.

http://christianchat.com/miscellaneous/94727-depression-ladybugs-true-story-dark-vs-light.html. Have your sister read this. It is my story of my battle with life-long depression and how I coped with and overcame it with God's help.. :) I give some suggestions in it as to what others can do to help pull themselves out of that dark pit. Feel free to pm me if you would like to talk more about this. May my story bless and inspire your sister to never give up.. If by chance, this link doesn't work, it is also stickied to page 1 of the Miscellaneous forum. :)

Thank you for sharing your story. It was very moving and the love you have for your family is big medicine. Lord God of Israel Who was and Who is and Who will be forever, thank You for hearing our prayers for Maggie Cat and her sister. If it is Your will, touch this woman so that she is healed of all her infirmities and is whole in body in spirit and lead Maggie Cat as You will so that she knows how to be a help to her family, I pray these things in Christ's name and in Christ's name....

Take her feelings seriously and get her some help. Prayer, therapy, and definitely a support group if possible.
My sister-in-law committed suicide 3 and a half years ago. We knew she needed help, we did our best to support her, but I never dreamed she would end her life. We were all shocked and are still broken hearted.
I am praying for you and her. Watch her closely and pray with her often.
God Bless!

One of the best ways to combat depression is to keep moving on and occupy yourself. Her husband might be right in encouraging her to get a job, it might help a great deal to divert her attention off herself and focus on other things. When your depressed about your own life and feelings, it helps to get involved with others and forget about yourself. It can be therapeutical in combating depression. I say this as a novice, not knowing the degree of her mental disorder, but certainly recommend professional counseling too.
