A few scriptures for you:

James 4:3
You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God

James 1:6
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours

1 John 5:14-15
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him

Matthew 6:7-8
And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him

Hi hon,

First I want to thank Lightbliss for seeking the Word for guidance.

Next I want to add my 2 cents.

Netinter, I don't know exactly what it is you are talking about, but here are the guidelines I try to pray by:

1) Always finish prayers with "and above all, Father, I ask that your will be done ifor your glory"-- but it seems like you already do this, so well done.
2) Never EVER stop praying for unsaved friends and family
3) If you are praying for a particular "thing" or situation" that does not seem to ever change, maybe you need to ask for wisdom about what EXACTLY to pray for. James 1:5 says "if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."
4) Maybe it is YOU that needs to change and not the thing you are praying for -- God likes to use adversity to "refine" us in the "fire" (Psalm 66:10)
5) When none of that seems to be right, just keep on praying.

Luke 18:1-8 1Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. 3And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.' 4"For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, 5yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' "
6And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

thanks, all of you. i think this is what i need. i prayed now for a year for a broken relationship. (not mine :) the boy broke up, and i was so sure that he was wrong and would be very sorry.
and at that part i was right. now after a year i see ( i know from someone else it was right from the start, but he didnt dare ) he admits he was so wron. but now the girl doesnt want him anymore. at that time she was very hurt.

a year ago i prayed that he would see that he was wrong, and if it was Gods will, he should zay so.
and at that time, after praying a lot, it was if God told me to be still and let Him do the job.
now a year later he did see he was wrong, but now its the girl, and she is right

I’m not sure I understand the question, but you don’t have to keep praying for the same thing over and over again, I don’t think. If the Lord wants you to have something, he’ll give it to you. He’s only concerned with what is best for you.

I think what you asked is a good question, but the answer isnt one you will like maybe but maybe not,but anyway's the answer is: If you need to ask the answer is no. If you want or need it's not up to us.
Trust me,I dont like the answer to sometimes.
This pretains to anything.
Hope it helps.

hi wayne
This is the forum section of the site. it is not real time. If you are looking for real time chatting you need to enter the chat rooms. To do this press the sites logo on the top left corner of the page. From there find the blue button that says 'Chat now!'. And it will take you to the chat. It is flash based, so if you are on a phone or pad it may not works as most of those are not flash compatible.
Otherwise just start looking for threads that interest you and start posting responses or make your own thread. Make sure not to go too far back as this can lead to bringing up old and dated threads, such as this one we're in now from 2010.
