Facebook isn't making you lonely.

Facebook is making all your funny cat stories into salable marketing data.

Nobody gets my funny cat stories unless they PAY ME!

FB tempts us to day things flippantly. FB deceives us into believing we have real relationships. FB distracts us from what really matters. FB causes anger and resentments in relationships.
Yes, I have a FB; but I spend little time on it.

I think FB is probably more trouble than what it is worth most of the time.

You may be the first girl on the planet to publicly admit she stalks her ex's on Facebook.

I'd give you an award if I wasn't so frightened of you.

I'm not on Facebook, so my face has never experienced loneliness amongst thousands of other faces!!!

(I wrote that as a joke, but it almost sounds existentially meaningful, in a sad way!!!).

The problem isn't Facebook, the problem is us.

We constantly compare ourselves to others and we're a bunch of voyeurs.

Hmm... Personally, I like facebook because I can get in touch with my loved ones and friends even though we are a thousand miles apart. It's a great way of catching up with your loved ones and friends. :p

In many cases it does, not all. If there's a void on our lives, some feel Facebook compensates for it. I've been Facebook free for over a year and have not looked back.

...yeah, I never really bothered too much with it. Privacy issues and don't use my real ID anyway; its a way for those behind the scenes to find out 'all about you' ...:)

I don't watch TV, FB is my only entertainment. I love playing Sherlock Holmes there. Stalking, observing and watching people fight each other. Pointless but fun!

I deleted my facebook account and made a fake one just to put pictures on there. I made it a rule not to have status updates. I don't like the use of facebook and what it's become in our society.

I have to curb my time on FB because its very easy to get wrapped up in another's world and forsake your own. I do like it, but I find it does some damage to relationships if not used wisely.

Why make a fake account just to put up pictures? IF you don't like something, steer away from it. why make a false accounts? its only adding to the damaging effect Facebook has. I would like to see a survey, of how many fakes on there than real people who uses it. If I was to bet, as a Christian, its not wise and not good Christian role to bet, But If I was to bet, I would bet there are more fakes on facebook than real people. I just don't understand why people has to fake themselves. isn't that a form of Lying? wonder how many Christians use facebook, and fakes at least 1 or maybe 2 things about there status.
We all know the government are in partnership with facebook, and sells on the details you give. how else do we get those cold callers saying oh we have randomly selected your number to try sell you something or con you into doing something? then you got the apps on facebook, How many people use them? little do they know, that facebook don't check the apps before they apply them to facebook. not to mention most of the apps are hacks to get more information from you to add the a database to sell on. easy money for the government. and I can go on with the facebook scams and dangers. one thing I leave you with, you may already know. even if you do manage to use facebook with care, or with caution. your privacy is not let aside and left alone. and you try delete from facebook? You can deactivate your account and profile. But they Will not, completely delete your account. they say its deleted within 14 days. why? that? well you don't think they can copy all the details first and add it to the big database of information? anyways,. Facebook is the worse ever website created in my eyes. and people everyday are falling into there traps more and more. mostly without knowing it.

I was without internet completely for the past 2 weeks. Didn't really miss it, except for CC :). I did have to go to the library to check emails and job search, so that was more difficult, but I didn't miss FB or other stuff. I also was without TV which I honestly thought would be horrible but it wasn't all that bad. And when I had the money to pay the bill and get it turned back on my son even said he didn't care if we didn't get tv back. He said he would like it, but it wasn't really that bad being without it.

However, regarding FB, I only have people on my FB that I care about, true friends, family members, church members. A couple celebrities just for fun, and 2 Christian devotionals. Have been kept up to date on a church member's medical crisis and kept the prayers going for him. Anyway, I think it is fine as long as it doesn't become the end all of your day and you check it every other minute, just to see....
