Psalm 91New King James Version (NKJV)

Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God

91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

[SUP]3 [/SUP]Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler[SUP][a][/SUP]
And from the perilous pestilence.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
[SUP]10 [/SUP]No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
[SUP]11 [/SUP]For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

Satan's strategy in your life and mine: He aims to be such a wonderful counterfeit that he leads you astray. He wants to take you left when you ought to go right...to make you miserable when you ought to be happy...to make you defeated when you ought to be victorious.

Satan's deception is so powerful that, according to the book of Revelation, he will deceive all the nations of the world. So he is not to be taken lightly! Satan has turned deception into an art form.

Satan wants to deflect you from the will of God and interrupt God getting the glory. He wants to keep you ineffective. Satan will even twist things so you'll blame God for things that are his fault.

Satan is the master deceiver and cannot stand objective truth. He does not want you to believe something simply because God said it. He'll do anything to deceive you and I. Defend yourself against his lies.

When your faith is exclusively maintained in Christ and His Finished Work, you are in the "Whole Armor of God."
