We find in the Bible a lot of references regarding the role of men and woman in the family.

"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body
."Ephesians 5:22-23
"Let the woman learn in silence, with all subjection. But I do not allow a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, was in the transgression" 1 Tim. 2:11-14
What path
should follow today christians taking into account the radical changes in society pushed by liberal groups, like feminists, using schools, media and political lobbying.

Are you asking theoretically? Are you seeking truth on the matter? Or do you believe you already have the answer and you just wish to start a debate?

I see you've been on this site a whole 4 hours. Did you join the site to fellowship (as your intro suggests) or just to debate? Because there are a plethora of other threads regarding this same subject. There's really no need to begin yet another post about it.

I agree. Spend a day or two using the <SEARCH> function, and you should have answers to everything you asked.

the problem people only want to debate and some people think one way others another most of the time it seems like the bible is not even close to there posts on subjects like this.

to be honest women and men are both people they should be treated as such.

at the same time the bible says the woman is the weaker one *the bible *

and the bible says do not be harsh with your wife *bible*

and wife to submit to your husband well as long as it is biblical what he is asking you to submit to *bible*

as well woman was made for man as a helper *bible*

you see women and men are both the same under Gods eyes but we have roles and we have commands women have there commands and so do men.

the man is the head of his house *bible*

as well he is to treat his wife (Just) like Christ treated his church aka his bride *bible*

he did love his church and take care of her and give his life for her as husbands are too but just becase he served his bride does not mean he is any lower than he was men are to serve there wife just as Christ did but he still has athoraty over his wife so long as he is a biblical husband so he is to act like this just as Jesus does to his church.

this is how I see it I find this to be a balance you can't be a adolf hittler over your wife but you can't be the couch potato ether you have a rule as a husband to disciple your wife and love her just like Jesus Christ our lord and saver.

:) I hope this advise helps

Young lad, if you honestly believe a woman should not teach a man, you are on the wrong site. This Christian site allows for all women to teach, preach, inspire, encourage, pray, fellowship and have fun. THAT'S THE PREMISE OF THIS SITE.

So if you don't believe that's right, then wouldn't it wrong for you to associate with people who DO believe it?

It's been done before many times. You would get many opinions on both sides. My opinion is that throughout history women have been in prominent positions of authority and there is no biblical cause for women to be silent.

I've posted before....I think in women's position in christ thread...

God created woman from man to be equal..
.for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God
For God so loved the world that he gave his only son

that said, in the family

God
Husband
wife

but it's all a balance in love and honor.

This is a hot topic nowadays a debate is always good and I'm intrested in what other people think. If you belive that is pointless to start a topic about this you should not post on it. And yes I know that are other topics about this subject.

well there does not have to be a debate the only problem is people love to debate ): but love truth and to find truth is to find riches fare better than Gold or silver how ever I do fall into a debate sometimes and later regreat it

I think this is a different topic all together....maybe for the BD
That's a doctrinal difference.

but as far as the OP, God puts husbands over wives. And y'all can debate what all that means to you.

I'll say this also. I don't agree with every here or probably won't ever. But I think Iron sharpens Iron and we all help each other grow in our beliefs. I think sometimes honest questions or beliefs get miscommunicated.

now if you believe a certain way, great for you. Start a thread. Let's keep the train on the track.
