Do you Believe in Angels? I do, because the Bible proclaims it
as Truth! God from the beginning has always used Angels!
They have been used by God As messengers, to
deliverance, to protection, and to fight against evil spirits that
try to harm his elected children!

Look at how when Elijah was down and depressed and very weak,
God personally found the Angel with the softest hand to minister
to Elijah! His soft hands stroked and comforted Elijah's forehead,
made him food to eat, and gave him sweet and comforting sleep!
As a Child of God, doesn't bring you some comfort to know that
God has sent his Angels to watch over You! And the Angels are
also encamped about those who fear the Lord!

So Bother's and Sisters, doesn't that make you feel very humbled
and valued to know that God Value's You, Treasures you and
Cares for you enough, that he has sent his Angels to watch over you!

And even as it says in Hebrews 1:14 the Angels are sent to minister
to them who are the heirs of Salvation!
How would you like to feel the next time you get down and
depressed to have and Angel with a soft hand stroke your for head
to calm you nerves down!

Why are we seeing such an obsession with Angels in the church today?

Angels are nothing special, yet people are holding them in such awe and elevating them to a position which they are not. You do realise once we get to heaven angels will be beneath us.

I also doubt we all have a guardian angel, why would a guardian angel just look on when bad stuff happens? Why do the angels allow demons to oppress us and tempt us? it dosn't make sense.

Instead God knows what will happen to us and sends angels to protect us in certain events, but I do not think we have an angel constantly standing next to us.

Yes its interesting to study, but the crap that is spouted sometimes is just sentimental fluff and ridiculous romanticism.

As far as I can see the only "angels" that have wings are the cherubim and seraphim. From their descriptions they would hardly look like the classic angel pictures we're familiar with.

We have no idea, that is the truth. We have some idea, but we hardly scratching the surface, the spiritual realm will always remain a mystery to humans until our spirits our released with death of our body.

Angels are said to walk amongst us. They can obviously change physical appearance, different classes of angels also exist.

Angels are only allowed to be seen by God in circumstances. One of the preachers at my church has an amazing testimony of how angels protected one of his church members farms in South Africa from a mob who already killed a number of white farmers . God sent angels to protect the farm, the mob saw them and left the farm alone.

Canon Andrew White, aka The Vicar of Baghdad regularly sees angels around his church in Baghdad. They show up in most services as well, which the congregation can also see. This is again God giving a visual reassurance his protection is over the church in that torrid part of the world.

I do agree with you that angels have been over glorified in this day
and age, and they deserve to never be glorified as many people do!
All glory belongs to the Lord and him alone!
And I believe that their is no such thing as a female Angel!
Every Angel in the Bible is a male!

But be careful not be disrespectful to the word of God in any way
about anything that he says! Hebrews 1:14 Says: That Gods Angels
are sent to minister to them who are the heirs of Salvation!
And it says in Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him,
and delivers them. So don't try to interpret the word of God, or add any of
your ideas to it, just believe what it says and let God fulfill his word his himself!

I have noticed that there has been a lot of people that have been coming in
and condemning and destroying peoples blogs and threads with there unkind
words! And instead of acknowledging and blessing them for the truth that their
trying to share, they use their knowledge of a Pharisee and study there whole
post to find something to criticize there whole hearted work in sharing what they
know!

This kind of action of pride and self righteousness, is not the Spirit of Christ and
must be stopped even the moderators agree! The Biblical way of correction is
demanded to be done through great humility, and to be taken to side away from
the congregation in private to not humiliate and degrade the Believers maybe
by his just slight misunderstanding of the scripture!

I personally think that if a post has an heir in it,
the person that found it, if its scriptural err,
should privately sent a humble message about it and the possible scripture that they
misunderstood or one they didn't know about! And if bad comment remarks
and premeditated humiliation of the person who tried there best from there
heart to share a blessing, then the moderators should start closing there
accounts, I don't care how long they have been here or there rank ,as they
try to show off there their knowledge to hurt another, its a disgrace to
this Fellowship web site!

Angels also have their place in God's gospel but mankind is trying to raise them into a roll that is not healthy for their salvation...

BurdenBarer4U Sent me the above post as a private mail, so I assume this is directed at me, so I will reply.

Did I hit a raw nerve? Did I insult you because you are one of these people who are elevating angels to a status which is not what God intended?

Just because you do not agree with some things I have said does not give you the right to accuse me of disrespecting God or his word. I hate it when people like yourself take a holier than thou attitude and accuse other of arrogance and pride and playing the "I am on Gods side and you must be against God if you are against me" card. If anyone is displaying agorgance and pride then it is yourself.


I have said nothing that has been disrespectful or arrogant or pride, I do not claim to have special knowledge or whatever. If you read my post you will see that I give examples as to how angels are used and thier roll in our protection. I fail to see how I am being disrespectful to God. Yes it is a fellowship site ,but its also a forum and debate site>

I hate people who think angels are beings to be worshipped and elevated to almost same level as Christ.
