The type of judgements they are making aren't helpful to him, instead of telling him about the Good lord they rather gossip. Of course I would love for him to be completely free from sin especially one like this that has so much strength over him. I'm going to speak to him and hopefully share some things I've learned about God, hopefully give him a new perspective on things.
Bless you and my God give you wisdom and power to help :)

God is Love. I would go with that for now. Your uncle sounds like a nice man. There is no reason for you not to have your uncle in your life. He has always been there for you.

Just because one knows the Bible or is raised in a church doesn't mean they heed the Lord as evidenced by both your uncle and your family. I assume you're saved yourself and so understand God's will on the matter. That being said it doesn't mean you still can't love him or not treat him like a person. It just means that you have an even greater opportunity to witness and talk to him in the love God has told us to give to the unsaved and the reason He gave us heard to love with.

Beware compromise, beware shares. But beware your own wants or will. Remember we all have been stained ourselves so there's no room for pride. First thing is always God's will and His Word. And prayer, prayer, prayer.

Just like my cousin, girl gone transgendered. I will always love her no matter what she is family, but I still stand that when the time comes she can repent any day and be with God and know that it is wrong to do sin. It is about them repenting, but for you it is about loving and caring and not forgetting them and pushing them more into darkness. Just keep shining your light.

My uncle recently just got married to his partner of 14 years. My uncle has always been the dad I never had, he's always been there for me and I can't picture life without him. My grandparents being Christian had great influence on me I always attended church with them from a young age. When my uncle first came out my grandparents didn't speak to him for years, they didn't understand how their only son could be gay. This hurt me so deeply and I know it killed my uncle inside. His own parents wanted nothing to do with him but finally came around one day. In a way I completely understand why they distanced themselves. They were confused my uncle had always been with females and even dated the homecoming queen. Now my uncle is back in my life but all of my family is questioning him in secret. I don't believe they or I have any right to judge him only Christ can do that. I will always love my uncle no matter what decisions he makes, but I'm also very confused myself. Please, if anyone can give some advice on how to deal with a judgmental family or how to understand my uncle better. I wish my family could just accept him the way he is but I know that it's not easy. I will always agree with gods word but I still want my uncle in my life.

I can see a reason for, if your uncle claims to be a Christian, and lives like this, to break off contact with him, based on I Corinthians 5 and other passages. That would apply if he were a fornicator, idolator, etc. If he's an unbeliever, that's a different story. You can still have a relationship with him.

But if you are a follower of Christ, you'll have to be careful with your relationship with people who influence you. If I want godly advice on serious matters of my life (not how to fix a car or something like that), I want it from someone who is walking with the Lord, not rebelling against Him. Bad company corrupts good morals, and hanging around homosexuals can effect you spiritually. So can hanging around adulterers and fornicators and people who cheat on their taxes.

You might want to find another father figure, maybe a godly older man who could disciple you to fill that void in your life.

Thank you very much KJB! Presidente you make a very good point. I'm not sure if he still believes in God this was years ago plus he's not the one who told me he believed. Another family member said he did.

Maybe it's just only an influenced. Someone who influence him to be a gay. If that is the case, still he can be change through your prayers and remind him with love. It's true, you cannot do anything but you can pray for him. Only Jesus can change him. I'm sure, there are seeds planted in his heart. And that seeds which is the word of God will continue touching his heart. Pray that God won't harden his heart. For your grandparents side, it is a shocking for them to know about their son. Its hard for them to accept that their son will be in hell. Pray and trust the Holy Spirit to do His part in the life of your uncle. If your uncle truly have Jesus in his heart, he will return to His fold someday.

It's okay, Godgivesmestrength. Your user name alone can do anything already. It's just reminder. God can do anything, everything... But it's up to the individual if He allows Him to be a part in his life. "I can do all things, through Christ which strengtheneth me.

My cousin believes in God....maybe what she thinks maybe when she does confront Him then she may repent if He says that is the way...I think some people think that way and don't read the Bible but I just make comments in general not to push her away but to help her see that she has to do the repenting first. Maybe your uncle is searching still and you can be that by being an example in God's hands.

Most of the time, homosexuality hides other sexual disorders.

Watch for the children? Never trust homosexual people!

I have an uncle who chose a long term homosexual relationship with another man and they wear wedding rings as does your uncle.

I prayed for him and shared the truth with him about God's love AND holiness explaining how they are eternally intertwined, attributes of God's own character, and can never be separated in actuality.

Like most sinners who do not want to repent, he said he accepted that God is loving but rejected God's holiness (except for the parts that he agrees with like social criminality such as assault, murder, robbery, etc... as he is an ex-Marine with some conservative values despite his homosexual choice, of course).

After a time, the Lord gave me a word not to continue praying for his repentance and witnessing God's truth to him as he already knows it and made the decision to reject God's offer of repentance and sanctification to continue in his sin.

His judgment approaches and ultimately it is between him and the one true holy creator God. Everyone makes their choice. He made his and it was his to make.

Love the sinner...

(you may not approve of his life style, but that doesn't mean you have to exclude him from your life)
