Not sure really the term religion applies broadly I think.. Thus I would say I am a Christian meaning that Jesus Christ is my Lord and savior. Of course it's not that simple but that's my basic view

There are many other religions..

Just my thoughts
lots of love,
lexi

I believe religion is more a term of practicing idolism where a Christian would not be practicing religion but have a relationship with God. Although I do know those that call themselves Christians who practice religion and have no relationship with Jesus.

Religion = what "I" and others in our group are doing to get God and others pleased

Relationship is what God has given to those that want it, done through Son Christ

God is the creator we are the creation, so what makes more sense to create as religion does claiming praises and worship with one's own flesh in the way getting the credit with pats on the back one to another and feeling oh so good about self

Or to respond to God in thanksgiving and praises for what God has done for us while we all are yet sinners
I chose to respond and not create my own path, in religion(s) of any sort, and seek to know God not for knowledge, not for wisdom, not for being better than others.
Nope for to know God only to be held there safe and secure in God the creator of all through Son Christ, by Faith in Christ's finished works for me and all that believe, there is no religion there at all.
As a matter of fact did not religion of that day go against the Christ, including Saul until the road to Damascus, hmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there is a difference in religion and relationship then isn't there?

Religion and relationship aren't mutually exclusive. God-ordained religion is good, man-made religion is not.

What ever motivates a person towards eternal things is theit religion e.g. lighting candles, trusting in a crucified and risen savior, looking forward to pixie dust (evolution) etc.

If you asked me my religion, I would say "Christian." What is the religion of the OP?

If you asked me what helps me get through the day, through pain, gives me joy, peace and comfort, I would tell you that it is my relationship with Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for my sins. Who does the OP have a relationship with, that can do that!
