Occasionally, I will get into a negative thinking pattern and dwell on the what ifs.

Is this a typical thought or is this unique to me.

It is typical, though dangerous if dwelt on too long.

I had to deal with this and sometimes it happens what do I do? I have to remind myself what God has been doing for me now what I have now in Him.

Taking inventory of the blessings in your life right now, forcing yourself to focus on what IS instead of what IF, appreciating what you already have instead of wishing for something different...pretty much anything that will stop the negative thought process and take you down a different path in your mind. That's how I do it, anyway.

Ironing brought all those thoughts out for me, and I ironed a crisp white shirt for my husband for every day. If the Lord hadn't let me live so long so I could finally get past it I would be in hell. As it is, my health would be so much better today if I and the Lord had managed me earlier.
