My name is Jamie, I am in College majoring In social behavior. For one of my classes im doing a big research report about people's opinion on gay couples adopting children. I have chosen the Christian community because of the stereotypical views A majority of people have. I'm also interviewing the gay communities so I can get two different sides of the argument. Please leave your opinion or directly email me at [email protected]. Thank you for your time!

Should there be an issue on gay couples adopting children? Who am I to judge others? I'm not perfect. In my flesh, I sin. So I am not one to pass judgement onto others. Hey, maybe they'll do a better job than most parents. You'll never know. But to be honest, a family in Christ, is a happy family. As long as you have Christ, you're set. I don't know how this answers your question, and all, but it's my opinion. And others shouldn't be to quick to judge either. Unless they're perfect, they have no right to pass judgement onto a fellow human being. If a Christian for example passes judgement onto another human being, in this case, gay couples, they'll only be contradicting themselves and indirectly they'll make themselves hypocrites. God says to love one another and not judge, yet, in the society we're living in, judgement is like a basic necessity. God loves all man. And God treats all man equally. And He's God. Why can't we do that same?

God bless, and have a good day.

James 3:12 New International Version (©2011)

"My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water."

Overall, it isn't about what opinions are, it is about what is best for the children both psychologically and physically.

I agree. And research tells us that gay couples are just as capable as anyone when it comes to raising children.

I know plenty of kids raised by gay couples and they all ended up fine, strong marriages, good jobs, well adjusted kids of their own. I think their is a gay parent boogeyman some people try to throw out there, but I honestly havent seen it in anyone from that type of situation.

I am completely against the idea of gay couples adopting. Which parent do you think the child is best without: the mom or the dad? Kids brought up in these households may be "fine," but are these kids being brought up with a respect for the Lord and His Word? I doubt it.

If I were a parent, my primary goal would be in leading my child into an eternal, saving relationship with Jesus Christ. A child in a gay home would not have that opportunity. After all, a child's eternal salvation is the most important thing.

I am a believer in Christ, and I am for same gender couples adopting. I know several couples (m/m, f/f) who have raised children in a way that I raise my own.
