But... despite all of this music we like, we also need to remember that in Heaven, we'll likely not be listening to most or all of this stuff.

I think of my favorite TV shows from the 60s to the 90s... and I cannot imagine they'll be watched during the Millennial reign, never mind afterwards. Yeah, it'll be Heaven, but from my current POV, it bugs me.

.
Remember that there will be some who survive the tribulation and subsequent wrath of God to repopulate the earth.
When I saw this movie a while back, this is what I pictured / imagined that secular entertainment would be like after the New Jerusalem descends and communities of surviving mortals establish.

You'd like the movie, albeit it's not for everyone because of the giant dragon violence and such.

This was a good movie.
I should have guessed that you saw it, considering the theme. The whole plot was interesting. Good guy movie, dragons attacking, Uber masculine heros going after them, people living in castles to defend against them: Who could ask for more?

GODZILLAAAHHHHHH!!!!

Although, if he showed up, the dragon species would be extinct by the end of the movie.

I have my car radio set on a station that plays 80s music and hearing it always brings me to a sense that I'm only 17. I wish that I could just post song intro soundbites.

I kind of feel the same way and then i immediately thank God for giving me such a blessed childhood, teenage years and adulthood.

I liked this song... had it on a cassette I made off radio broadcasts. The station was WLIR in NY. I remember walking through lower Manhattan... might've been the Brooklyn Bridge?? .. while playing this on my Walkman. Late summer of 1987 I believe.

While we're on the subject of singing duos, I'll add one to the mix. This will be a trivia . You can't ask Alexa or cheat. This couple performed in an 80s TV series in one episode. Hints, the episode featured a blind lady who was a music reviewer. She sat in during rehearsal of Ashford and Simpson, singing Count Your Blessings. Plot, she was the witness to a murder. Hmmm? Does that jog anyone's memory?

Any guesses.

Didn't they feature new artists about every other episode?

Here's another big hint.
You'll get it if you ever watched the show.
"Odds against you?
Call 555-........."
I broke the rule, and I looked it up. I missed a lot of good series that came out around that time. I watched Airwolf and Knight Rider just to see the jet copter and KITT and I was able to catch maybe one season of Miami Vice, for the fashion tips, but this show aired a year later ( it is rated .3 points better than Miami Vice) and this was about the time I took my first 'part-time' job getting 40/hrs week, while maintaining upwards of 11 credits of college prep courses, and so this, consequently, turned out to be my debutante year which I was totally unprepared for... Then, when all the debris was finally cleared, there isn't much I remember other than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. So, when I read your quote, it only reminded me, "When there's trouble, call Darkwing Duck!"
