haha that makes two of us!
I have didy on ignore. And i obviously did not get your joke, nor that Post got it. Neither my, nor anyone elses, inability to get your odd joke doesn't make this a 'no fun zone'. Just means people didn't get your joke.

Ugly, you're taking this all too seriously. Even the term "no-fun-zone" shouldn't be blown out of proportion to be so literal. What I mean to say is that some people are capable of identifying a joke as ridiculous as "christian-core" and playing off that (which is exactly what Post and Didy did). It's nothing more than a musically-related joke on the absurdity of micro genres amd specifying Christian ones from non-Christian genres.

Perhaps, because what you consider as 'absurdity' isn't a belief shared by everyone else, and therefore won't be recognized as a joke. It was a joke obviously missed by the majority, so perhaps it wasn't such a clever joke, or clever approach, as you want to believe. Though i'm sure you'll still find a way to indicate that it's somehow everyone elses problem but yours, that your joke failed.

Well of course not, that would just be rude. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, as well as me. Just because I didn't specify that "I think it's an absurdity" doesn't mean that it isn't my sole opinion, it's implied just by saying it. Also I never said it was "clever". I understand some didn't understand the joke but that wasn't my aim. The right people understood the joke/thread the same way the right people will come across and enjoy the meta threads on metal and indie music.

To clarify, it's no one's problem. The thread was following a nice pattern of questions followed by answers and I would have explained myself eventually because the right questions were being asked as evidenced by Nautilus plainly asking "what's the difference between Christian-core and Christian hardcore?".

For the record, I don't spend all of my time on CC so if I go a day or two without responding to some posts one shouldn't assume I'm never going to.

It's a shame it was just a joke. I was hoping for some new music.

We can only hope, Lynx. Broad is the road that leads to CCM. Christian-core is a narrow path that few travel.

Oh man, I have never been so conflicted about hitting the "like" button. I love your comment but that song is so dreadfully CCM. First world problems..

Can't help but wonder why this thread was started. OP refuses to explain himself, just simply arguing with what everyone that makes a guess as to what he even means. This thread is basically pointless and antagonistic.
like Joseph said, some meant it for harm or joke, but Yahweh meant it to expose the false ethics of so-called 'Christian Music' genres(for lack of a better term at the moment)....

Bram Cools "liked" one of my posts on Facebook.

that means the ENTIRE Belgian Christian Lo-Fi scene stands behind my remark.

No because you didn't start assuming that just because you didn't understand something's purpose meant there wasn't any point to it. I have nothing personal against Ugly, even that was a joke so don't worry :D
