Romanian and, sadly enough, dead... :(

(Sergiu Celibidache 1912 - 1996)

... but then again, no one lives for ever.

At least his music lives on! :)

This is the Romanian Rhapsody nº1, composed by George Enescu and the conductor is the same Celibidache. I love his energy and joyful mood.

I love him, he is good, his face :)
Simone, if you like that conductor, you would probably also enjoyed Dudamel, he is hilarious
spoiler, beware, beware, the Pope (francis) is going to pop up (and he looks little bit scary, but it is not his fault, so)
Dvořák,symphony no 9 (Dvorak is little bit hard to understand, not really my cup of tea, but he's classic and also I posting this because of conductor ...

Unlike Celibidache Dudamel likes outrageous tempos though...

Dudamel is very beautiful, young and passionate! I love him also.
As for the Pope :)p), I think it was pope Benedict XVI (the one that looks a bit like the emperor from the Star Wars, according to the images that can be found on the internet :D) and not Francis (the new one; Francis looks good, in my opinion).

Ok, I let you with the Imperial March from the Star Wars played in Prague (the conductor is dressed like the emperor ).

This is a very powerful piece of music and it suits Dudamel very good.

I knew that you would like him... he is hilarious ...He always does that.. he infects with his passion audience and orchestra. And of course it is pope benedict, my mistake, I wasn’t thinking, when I wrote that name.. and yes I agree Francis is cute, benedict was always ..hm.. (those eyes!) ..he looks like scary professor (what he was too) but I liked him and good for him that he resigned, right decision, God bless him.

Here is piece from Enigma (Elgar, not really from classical era, but..) This part is called Nimrod. Conductor Sir Simon Rattle. And link after video is about his teaching methods.

Sir Rattle is..compare to Dudamel more gentle ... I mean settle …but I kind of think that he can still inspire and enthuse others a little bit better than Dudamel. Also he reminds me of my music teacher .. She used to always sang along with me playing … it made me sometimes laugh.. and then she get angry and beat me with scripts, hehehee and her face, exactly what sir Rattle is doing … just in women edition

An impressive piece, but sadly enough it's plagiarism. John Williams 'stole' it from Gustav Holst. ;)
From his suite 'the Planets' this is 'Mars, the Bringer of War.'

I really like Dutoit's tempo here...

(Suggestion: play this piece LOUD!) :D

The original sounds more dangerous than John Williams's variant. Especially if played loud :p.

Gustov Holst's style reminded me of Richard Wagner.

I love that mysterious and creepy sound of the violins in the beginning. :)
