My brother gave me some of his music CDs that he got tired of, I think in the late 1990s or early 2000s. One of them was a compilation of music that featured in some video games that I've never heard of or played. But anyway, this song was from that CD. The song is by Daft Punk which is a French electronic music duo of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. This is a great song to cruise to in your car and has really simple lyrics you'll understand! ;)

The original version of this song is very basic and boring. But put in the right hands, it is magic!

-=<Everything But The Girl - Missing (Todd Terry Remix)>=-
(Original released in 1994. Todd Terry Remix released in 1995.)

I step off the train,
I'm walking down your street again,
and past your door,
but you don't live there anymore.

It's years since you've been there.
Now you've disappeared somewhere
like outer space,
you've found some better place,

and I miss you
like the deserts miss the rain.
and I miss you
like the deserts miss the rain.

Could you be dead?
You always were two steps ahead
of everyone.
We'd walk behind while you would run.

I look up at your house,
and I can almost hear you shout
down to me
where I always used to be,

and I miss you
like the deserts miss the rain.
and I miss you
like the deserts miss the rain.

Back on the train,
I ask why did I come again.
Can I confess
I've been hanging around your old address?

And the years have proven
to offer nothing since you moved.
You're long gone
but I can't move on,

and I miss you
like the deserts miss the rain
and I miss you
like the deserts miss the rain

I step off the train,
I'm walking down your street again,
and past your door,
but you don't live there anymore.

It's years since you've been there.
Now you've disappeared somewhere
like outer space,
you've found some better place,

and I miss you
like the deserts miss the rain
and I miss you
like the deserts miss the rain
(and I miss you)
and I miss you
like the deserts miss the rain
and I miss you
like the deserts miss the rain
(the deserts miss the rain)
like the deserts miss the rain
(like the deserts miss the rain)
like the deserts miss the rain

Listening to this now... she has a really nice voice, and though I am not that familiar with her music, I do
appreciate her music related philanthropic efforts so much, I used her face in two of my panels
.:unsure::giggle:

I like this song .:). I did or do have Neil Young's CD with her doing backup vocals (Wrecking Ball), and oh! She also
toured with Mark Knopfler
.:D. I have listened to some of his live tours from late last century many, many times.

Actually I should have said Mark's tours from late last decade/earlier this millennium .:censored::LOL:

Real Live Roadrunning is a concert film recorded live on 28th June 2006 at the Gibson Amphitheatre
in Los Angeles towards the end of Mark and Emmylous' tour in support of their critically acclaimed album,
All the Roadrunning, his 4th solo studio release in 2004. Yeah, yeah, wrong millennium, wrong decade LOL

Yeah, I know... love M.K. back in those days... just haven't listened to much music for the last 20 years or so.
Glad that some of the good ones are still around!

It actually shows His name in the video! .:). And pics representing Him too...
Yeah, I think that was from the Poster of the video - a 70+ y/o lady? Not from Sting himself...
Not sure what his beliefs are, but suspect that he does has some respect for God... IDK?
He did do a concert/album in one of the churches in Britain... Durham Cathedral (Catholic) and also did something with/for the Vatican?
