I have recently been saved and gsve up all of the old music I used to listen to, it was trashing my mind. I don't even know what type of music I like any more!! any suggestions?! Im open to lots of diffrent styles of music. I would like to listen to some really powerful songs.

What type of music did you listen to before? If you like rock then i suggest Red, Skillet, and kutless. There are more than that lol but i can't remember any atm. If you like Rap then there is Lecrae, KB, Andy Mineo, Tedashii, Derek Minor. PRo, W.L.A.K., Alex Faith and so on. For Contemporary there is Chris tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Addison Road, Matt, Reddman, Francesca Battistelli. and more ! :) Hope this helps and gets you started to find more artists. :)

I listened to alot of rock and rap type stuff. I have listened to lecrae and loved it! Thank you! I'll give these a listen!!!

Omgosh me too! I just listened to "fear" for the first time since the pre order release date! :) Can't wait to get this album!

Narnia, Petra, DC Talk - Rock, but not the heavy kind.
I haven't listened to DC Talk for some time, but I seem to remember them having a slight rap - twist to their music. (Could be mistaken, my memory is a bit bad :p )

Extol - Heavy Metal

There are threads in Music on rap, punk, reggae, electronic, metal. All sorts of stuff. Just look through the music forum threads. Though kilden already linked the best one. ;)

best bet is to look through the first couple pages of this section of the forum, and bump a thread when you find stuff you like - then others may be able to suggest more like it.
go for the threads that are several pages -- there's a wealth of bands & artists named and a whole lot of youtube links here if you take the time to dig!

i did the same as you in 1993-94 or so, and never regretted it. Jesus will change your whole life as you let Him!
