Need help looking for a quote

Not sure if I should post this in the Music Forum or if I should post it in some other forum but here is my question.

One of my favorite bands, For Today have a 'track' that is just repeating quotes... I have Googled this quote to see if I can find the actual sermon that this quote is from and all I am finding is like lyric websites and stuff like that.

This is the quote:

“The cross beckons the man who is sick of himself.” - [Damon Thompson]

This one quote specifically hits me hard every time I hear it and I am just curious as to what the rest of the message was that came with it. Here is a list of the other quotes that came from that track:

I'm not sure. I'd never heard of the guy before. I just went to see if i'd have any luck with the quote. But what i found instead is that this man's doctrine seems to be debated. Apparently he has had some ties to some bad stuff. So perhaps use caution and maybe research his doctrine before going much farther with him.
