So I don't care what denomination Prince was on this earth, because his lifestyle can't be any worse than what goes on day after day in the Bible Discussion Forum under the "Christian" banner.
Prince was married twice and divorced twice. He professed to sleeping with numerous friends and artists. I believe that included Boy George.
Some secular reports are saying he was a Christian because he had religious themes in his music?? Almost all secular artists have songs with religious themes. I'm wondering if you have a link where he publically stated he had faith in Christ, and believed Christ died for his sins.
On the other hand, many feel he led a gay lifestyle.
Is Prince gay? In the bootleg song, "I'll Never Be Another Fool",
Prince sings, "I'll never open my legs, again, to a man, who's insecure...
Boy George : I slept with Prince!
George shocked the audience of The Voice UK with his announcement:
Fellow judge Paloma Faith : 'Well OK, if we’re throwing big soul names out there I’ve performed with Prince.' To which George reportedly replied: 'Forget that, darling, I’ve slept with Prince.'
A production source told the newspaper that the crew couldn't believe what they had heard and the crowd went 'absolutely wild.'

I enjoyed the music of Culture Club. I always assumed Boy George was a homosexual. Same with Freddie Mercury. How did people not think Freddie Mercury was gay?
What I find odd is that people are unwilling to hold music artist to the same standard as others, like politicians. Bill Clinton has probably stated many times he is a Christian. Yet, according to his state police body guards in Arkansas, he slept with between 80 and 90 women while governor of Arkansas and while married to Hillary. He was photographed attending church a time or two while President, but has not been seen inside of a church since he left office. If he died in an elevator today, we wouldn't hear people suggesting he was a devoted Christian.
To me, Prince performed a flavor of music that many people liked. Those same people failed to notice that during the same time period, the amazing punk rock band, The Replacements, also out of Minneapolis, were much more popular among the alt-rock and punk rock crowds. Every person I ever met who was a Prince fan, had terrible taste in music and almost no knowledge of the many great alternative music acts performing at that time. When I meet someone who attended a Prince concert, I ask them when was the last concert they attended. They usually respond with some big stadium show they were at 20+ years ago. Then they say they have been to a total of five live shows in their life. After attending over 1000 live shows spanning five decades, and working at Tower Records and collecting over 50,000 songs, my take is that Prince, while talented at performing in front of an audience, was inconsequential to hard core music lovers. They viewed him as a flamboyant cabaret act, that attracted a lot of gays, and debutants and divas and young men who wanted to sleep with those divas. I drove up to Minneapolis several times and attended shows at 1st Avenue, where Purple Rain was performed in the movie. The acts I saw were far superior, in my opinion. I suppose when superstar music artists die, people will focus on what they liked about them and ignore everything else. That was what happened when Michael Jackson died. Just try not to get all upset when some of us react a little more rationally about the death of a man who seemed to be very immoral.
