There were a lot of parallels that I connected with in the first two movies. One was the choreography. The martial arts scenes were the same as my system.

Another thing that I liked was that his character was clearly a virtuous hero. The villains were believable and based on reality, which helped provide Denzel plenty of opportunities to work off of. The big guy and the prostitute in #1 were written into the script with amazing support. You as a writer can probably appreciate that script.
I was thinking about starting a thread on the movie, but doubt if enough interest or people who saw it. I don't think #3 was hardly advertised, but not sure since I have ad block and don't watch TV....almost Amish.
Lol

Did you see Equalizer 3?
Make sure to check with JimmyTheLock before starting this thread.

Yeah, God says to avoid secular music. Gospel of Lock.

Here's what is problematic in the church, at least State-side...

* Churches displaying rainbow flags or that promote abortion.

* Churches that have male worship leaders dressed as women.

• Churches in which the pastor preaches secular sermons, but throws in Christ for the last 20% of it. There's a church near me in Chandler, AZ in which I saw this. And, the way the women dressed. Geeez. Worse than the gym. First and last time for me.

• Christians who have a sinful habit, but rationalize it away. (I heard about a young woman in a church in Los Angeles who was seeking a FWB, because she said God knew she had "needs".)

If you're going to actually condemn your brothers and sisters as worldly because they listen to Immigrant Song, you're the kind of Christian who may need to rethink his spiritual priorities.

The American church is not in good shape right now. Listening to non-Christian music is not one of the top-most problems.
I think there is a difference. Music has been my life. I have traveled in music ministry. There needs to be a balance. I don't think the Lord would have an issue with "Take Me Home, Country Roads". But on the other hand I know Christians who allow their kids to listen to Taylor Swift, who sang a song that seemed aimed at Christians to "calm down". I remember being concerned when I found out one of my nephews was listening to Kurt Coban songs, which I didn't know the words to but knew it wasn't uplifting. I had a serious talk to my nephew about why this type of music wasn't good for his mental health. I think we need to be very careful what we listen to.

You claim your pic lifts up and glorifies the Lord? I not seeing Jesus in it, at all
I watched the Equalizer staring Denzel......

It's it odd that someone claiming to be a Christian cusses so much in his movies??? Weird! clueless.gif

So, what sort of a world would a jimmy world look like?
When the Lord Jesus returns to start His thousand year reign as King over the entire world and throws satan, the false prophet, and all that follow them in to hell... that's the kind of world the Lord Jesus is coming to bring.

Those not in agreement with Him will go the way of satan, the false prophet.

Yes, I made a very strong point with my nephew and I believe he has dropped that form of music. He had been into rap music, and we had a talk about that. These young kids they grab off the street with no talent and talk about " I dropped out, then I got rich". Had to explain that these kids are being used by music industry that chews them up and spits them out. Most of these fast cars and "bling" these kids have are rented. I talked him out of that music. Now he's listening to country, last time he visited. But a lot of that has turned to social justice nonsense and support of LGBT and BLM etc. I'm not his parent I know, but it seems he is listening at least and making better choices. He does play in the church band.

That's the easy one. Now answer the hard one. What in "take me home, country roads" is evil?

Find one single offering to the devil in all the lyrics of all the songs in The Sound of Music. Just one. Go ahead, I'll wait. I still got three days of vacation to whittle away.
I have confidence...
this won' t happen....

Shoot, who knew Reading Rainbow was so diabolical?
And to think that the little butterfly in the sky taught me how to take a look in a book and learn to read for myself
(which was exciting as a young child because I was then able to read the Bible for myself and not rely on my heathen siblings to read it to me).

What's the title,
Monarch Butterfly, like in Mothra?
Idk, but it intrigues me enough I intend to watch it and find out, if I have access to its premier, I mean. Is Mothra to be resurrected? She had sacrificed her life to save Gojira's! I think AppleTV is debuting it, the 17th, I think but I don't have AppleTV :(
I've yet to see Big Trouble in Little Tokyo tho. Is the story related in any way?

That was an inside joke. Lol
The title says something about Monarch (Mothra?). Then Kurt Russell stars in it. He was Jack Burton in BIG Trouble in Little China 1990s. That's OK, Gojira is probably the only one who got it. BTW, I wonder if he had anything to do with this new movie you brought up?
@Gojira ?

That's not Jesus... It's going to be Jesus that will be ruling the earth!
The title 'JimmyTheLock' sounds like a burglar/hustler name from a Columbo movie, and your picture kinda fits it. No offense, but I don't get a Christian vibe from them. For me it doesn't jive w/your sanctimonious come-on. Just sayin, since we're trying to be proper here.
