I will go back to what I said earlier. All you have to do is youtube Ron Paul and you will see many issues that are avoided by both parties but should be addressed. Not saying that Cruz is bad; if I had to weigh him against most of the other politicians, I would rate him 3rd behind Amash and Paul. I just don't think he is the hard hitter that everyone speaks of.
I could definitely see a Paul/Cruz or Cruz/Paul ticket in '16.
Merging Paul’s Outreach with Cruz’s Principles - "Both men are highly intelligent. Cruz is traditionalist while Paul thinks outside the box. Both men hold our rule of law in very high regard but at the end of the day each possesses a bit of what the other lacks."

The establishment ticket is now apparently pushing for Bush/Rubio per reports...

That's on par with what the establishment has selected (because we all know that most choose who the establishment tells them to) the past 8 years. If that's the case, the democrats will destroy this ticket.

.........and?.............we got Obama.........sigh
Me writing Ron Paul in had nothing to do with Obama getting the presidency. Look at what the establishment put up against him. I vote principle and not party. :)

You have a point. Either accept political realities and seek to work within them or sway the base and work your way up from the precinct level with a long-range plan in mind.

People who join these bum rushes are admirable in their devotion, but lack perspective.

That's also why there has been such an influx of new, young "libertarians" within the party. One thing that Ron Paul talked about that was rarely mention was changing from the inside. Just look at all of the craziness that occurred during the primaries of 2012 and the crazy rules that were put in place at the convention to block out the liberty bloc. In the next 10-15 years, the GOP will have a different look.
