But hey, guns don't kill people, right? I wonder what the families of people who have been killed in mass shootings might say to this myth!

In this climate, I am in favor of everyone having guns. I would not have said that just 2 or 3 years ago. We need to stop depending on a govt that can't protect us, and doesn't even want to call it what it is. I don't go to clubs, but if I did, a guy walks in and starts shooting, I would not mind seeing me and a dozen other people drawing our guns on him and all firing his way at once.

At least if I gotta go, let me have a fighting chance to protect myself. Not cowering in a bathroom because this leftist govt won't allow me to protect myself because these soft head elitist liberals think they know better then me and the rest of us.

This is apparently gang related, and happened in the parking lot and across the street.
This is news in Ft Worth, but it would be just another weekend evening in Detroit or Chicago....two cities with the strictest gun laws in the nation..

There are other countries on this planet you know...
You mean besides Texas?

- Bombings in Paris killed hundreds
- ISIS beheading its way around the middle east
- Mexican drug cartels kidnapping, killing, hanging people on bridges, leaving bodies in the streets with no heads, making a busload of college kids disappear
- Canadian parliament attacked by terrorists
- Suicide bombings in Isreal

And spoons make people fat..
That was a good one actually, I gotta remember that.

From what I read the death rate by the U.S medical system is many times higher then deaths by firearms which is sort of nuts considering the low numbers of doctors versus the much higher number of firearms.

I'm thinking they might just want to shoot all the doctors and confiscate all the spoons :p

The only place we need to look at is Chicago. They have the strictist gun laws out there and they have the highest murder rate in the country, if not the world. So, if these liberals take away our guns what is going to happen to the rest of the US? I think this is what the liberals want so the government can create a police state and have full reign on the country. You let them take one of our freedoms and rights they will be after the rest. We are already losing the right to free speech and it keep on going with other rights we have.

I'm a former cop, former prison guard, conservative Christian. I think liberals get it wrong most of the time. However, my 9mm hand gun holds nine rounds. My shotgun holds six. After some of these highly publicized mass shootings, we hear that the shooters fired off over 100 rounds. Therefore, one of the ideas someone had was to ban clips that extend out of the handle of a handgun and allow 20-30, maybe more, rounds to be fired in succession. The rifles being used by some of the shooters also have the ability to fire one shot after another until a clip holding a large number of rounds is depleted. Would it be acceptable to reduce the size of the clips being modified for use in hand guns and rifles? It doesn't mean banning guns or confiscating guns. It means making them less like a weapon our soldiers are using on the battlefield.

I've had fellow law enforcement officers gunned down by criminals with superior firepower. Some of which was legal for them to have. Passing a law that restricts the amount of rounds that can be placed in a clip will certainly not stop violent sociopaths from using handguns or rifles to murder people. It may reduce the body count or give some time to a citizen carrying a handgun to return fire and save innocent lives. I don't like supporting liberals or their ideas, but this is an idea that seems to have merit.

It also misses the entire point of the 2nd Amendment.
