First the bananas, then the monkeys...........WAIT.........what about the human race? OH GOODNESS! The extinction of bananas will spell the end of the HUMAN RACE right? According to Darwin?

That was interesting and sad. People never learn from experience. In Canada, bananas cost about half what locally grown apples cost. Not sure why that is, but I am going to miss them!

My bananas are from Ecuador. They have not been affected any fungal disease. With over 600 varieties of bananas in India, they are bound to find many varieties that will thrive. Plus we always have GMO's.

I quit eating bananas. My tastebuds have evolved to where I don't really care for the texture of them. When my forefathers were swinging from trees and they were a plentiful food source it was obviously a good choice for them for nourishment. Supply and demand is where it's at....even in my forefathers monkey colonies they were quite capitalistic in their dealings. They didn't have to 'catch' bananas so it was a logical pantry food stuff.

Bananas going extinct, how sad.

A while back I heard nuts were going extinct...
I immediately feared for the CC forum.

One eyed nuts are most in danger as I understand it
