Europeans are still a bit naive, we tend to think that things like that cannot happen to us. We trust people too much.

I do not know about his motives as I haven't read anything about it yet but the story has some weird quirks that most countries security would have taken precautions....sure none are 100% effective but right now it just seems like really dumb negligence if they allowed this guy in thinking he was an ice cream guy....no permit? no id? no background check via ID? no sweep of his truck with devices? it just seems to weird.
