Not many people know this but the lead singer of the singing group Vanity 6 became a christian and active Evangelist before her passing in Feb of this year. I was a fan back in the 80's and had no idea that she had given her life to Christ long before her death. Well that's one more for teamJesus!! Go Saints!!!!

Oh I liked her. I remember her from the movie Purple Rain and another movie she was in during the 80's. Never heard about her again after that. That's sad that she passed away at only 57. At least she's with Jesus now.

Oops my mistake, she wasn't the girl in Purple Rain, but she was Prince's real life gf at the time. But she was in this cute kung-fu dramedy called The Last Dragon. That's where I remember her. She was also the leading lady in the movie Action Jackson.

I liked those movies too..the guy who played the bad guy in The Last Dragon also died..he was the one with the puffy ponytail. Sho Nuff ..l think that was his charectors name. Apollonia was the girl in Purple Rain...may have misspelled her name.. I was just glad that Denise Matthews found Jesus before she passed....her testimony encouraged me.
