So, YOU'RE the guy that voted for Perot..... I always wondered what happened to that voter.... :D

I've never heard of Kenniston. I'll look him up.

I honestly don't know who would be a good pres right now. I like Ben Carson... no experience. I liked Ted Cruz, I think I would like to see Alan West in that spot. He likely would be even better than Trump.... I like just about everything I've heard him say.
Kenniston is out. But his platform was solid. A lot like Trumps but without the bloviating.

All threads drift ... some farther from shore than others ;)
I wonder what would happen if white people just would shut up for a minute and listen to plight of the black man. There is so much racsim and hatred for President Obama in this thread. I really want to cry for our nation.

Do you ever watch the tv show Pawn Stars? A guy comes in, has some rare item, the shop owner calls in an expert to authenticate it and to give him a estimate of what he thinks it's worth. You remind me of the guy who sells a $50,000 item for $5,000 and is excited about it. That's what I think of the tax plan when the middle class people get a bone while the people on the top tier get the rest of your $45,000.
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to AdolfHipster again.

Yeah, people hate hearing about Reagan's corporate welfare and hate even more when you show them how the gap between the top and middle have grown exponentially since it's induction.

Then again, it's like telling Bill Clinton lovers that Jimmy Carter would have had similar economic growth if he was in Clinton's place all because of the dot com boom. Sure, Clinton did some things right ( and a lot of things wrong) but the dot com (.com) boom is hardly his doing.
Wow dude where did you come from?

Exactly, Trump is riding a bubble not of his own making (altho he is pumping air into it) just like Clinton rode a bubble that was not of his making either. What happened when Clinton's bubble burst? They don't remember!

Oh it's not just this thread. You're in hostile territory all over here. Talk about being dropped behind enemy lines!

I'm not a fan of either party. I think they're both to blame for where we are now as a country. But yeah, this hatred towards presidents... that really started with Bush, hit full stride with Obummer, and now carries on to affect Trump. We've lost the ability to disagree yet maintain respect. R-E-S-P-E-C-T, sometin' we no longer see.... sockittomesockitmeSOCKITTOME! And it's not just for presidents, have you driven around a big city lately? Aint nobody got respect for noone nowhere. And yes, you'd think this forum would be different, but you'd be wrong.

Why do you call him Obummer? You talk of respect and then you show disrespect for a great man.

I think you confuse a dislike for Obama's policies and the way he conducted the office of president with a hatred for the man. And since the man just happens to be black you see it as racism. This is the normal thinking of democrats.
Racism is a reality in America, both on the part of white people and black people. But to lay the PLIGHT of the black man as you call it solely upon the racism of some white people is to willfully ignore the part of the black community and its leaders play in this.
Look at the many black people who have overcome much to be successful. They stopped blaming others and took it upon themselves to overcome and to succeed.

Maybe a black man has a disadvantage sometimes. Maybe he has to work harder. But the same can be said for all people of all races. Until a person stops blaming others and takes it upon him self to succeed, he never will.

Sounds like the whites are getting their just deserts for decades of racism and hatred for black people.
More like whites are smoking too much meth, drinking too much mountain dew, watching too much reality TV, and listening to too much gangsta rap.

That's easy to say when you start out the race without anything in your way. Then you look back at the black man who has been handicapped, weighed down and you say to him, come on boy work harder.

You have no idea what some of us privileged white boys have overcome in our lives.
Being born poor white trash in Arkansas was equal with being born black.
Its not my fault but his, is just a convenient way to say I am not willing to overcome.
The attitude you display on this forum is just to prevalent in the black community today.
Look at all the black people who have succeeded. Every one of them will tell you it took hard work and a determination.
They have shown you the way, but you are not willing to do that. No, you want it handed too you.

I could literally ask you the same question! Just about every post you make I want to hit "like" because I'm in complete agreement with you. I mean no offense, it's just extremely rare to find in people my parents age. lol If I didn't know any better, I'd swear you and your beautiful wife put me up for adoption... jk!! :p

Which is something I see in all of your posts... respect. Even when people want to be condescending for your alternative (and in my opinion, more accurate) beliefs, you maintain a positive tone. I could absolutely learn to be better in this area, but I can testify that when I've loved people when they have poked/are poking me, it can cause them to soften their heart and open their mind/eyes. I wouldn't be surprised if people's hearts have been softened by your kindness when disagreeing with their point of view.

I do not judge all black by the actions of the few and you should not judge all white people by the actions of the few.
All of us, black and white need to stop doing this.
I have voted for black people in the past and will again if I agree with their views.
But it is just as wrong for you to vote for a black man just because he is black as it would be for me to vote against him because he is black.
I do not vote by race. Do you?

Police do. They automatically assume that a black man is a suspect.

Since you do not know all police, you can not say that truthfully.
You are doing just what I said we should not do.
We live in an imperfect world and that is never going to change until Jesus comes.
The best advice I ever got was given to me many years ago.

Deal with the world the way it is, not how it should be. Stop worrying about what others think or say or do.
Trust in your self. Do your best.

That is the way I have lived my life. Those who do not like me or accept me, that is their problem. They will not stop me. You might want to try it.

Since when was it the "moral" and "just" thing to do to reward criminals for bad behavior?

What about the families who had to patiently wait years, maybe even decades, to come into the US legally? Maybe they should have just broken the law too, that way they can eventually be amnestied because it's the "moral" and "just" thing. What's next, God should bless those who sin too, because it's the "moral" and "just" thing to do? It sounds like your "morals" and "justice" need a bit of tweaking.
Please re-read what I said. I said it would be moral and just to give the "dreamers" a path to citizenship... they had NO choice about coming here illegally. They were brought here by their parents, who ARE lawbreakers. The children, while technically here illegally, did not do it themselves..... they were essentially forced here.

If your parents dragged you to another country at the age of 1, and you grew to adulthood there, then as a young adult, in college, the country decided to boot you back to the country your parents fled, wouldn't you feel like you were being unfairly treated?

Somehow, there has to be some compassion and understanding for those grown children. I don't think they should be granted immediate citizenship, but there should be some kind of path to it... and President Trump has come up with one.

Which is far and away more than any other president or Congress has done.

The adults who came here, knowingly breaking our immigration laws do not deserve that same consideration.

So, tweak that.....

Oh, since you brought God into it, that is exactly what He does... he blesses us sinners who are believers.

Wow this thread went from bad to worse. I see it being closed and at least one banning.
Yes.... all because of one twit that just wants to start a fight. What a tool.

There is no proof that she said that. I looked high and low and I can find no such comment attributed to her. And black people have no hope because white people burn down their neighborhoods. Just google the black wall street. Your people did that because you didn't want black people to succeed.

Really, have you read her book? I can link you to her book and you can hear in her own words what she said. Then you can come back and tell me how Dems are the friend to black people, the same Dems that back Planned Parenthood. Do realize if abortion keeps up at the rate its going and add to that black on black crime in Chicago there will be not black race left to vote in the near future? If you have the courage, watch the video in the link. Its called "Black Genocide in America"
