I've expressed on here my fairly recent decision not to carry when out walking my dog around midnight. But that is a personal decision that could only get "me" killed. If I was asked to defend other people (again) and kill armed attackers (again).... I certainly would.
What if you were asked to fight against an enemy that is not physical and you were asked to kill no man?

What will kill you, a radical amount of arsenic or a moderate amount?

Lol neither.

Mark 16:18

[SUP]18 [/SUP]... and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them ...

Lol but I get the point you're trying to make. Indeed poison is poison whether you got a moderate amount or a radical amount.

Jesus told Peter to put away His sword because Jesus wanted to follow His Father's plan. But, previously, He told the men He sent out to arm themselves. I can't help but think that was to, of course, protect themselves from wild animals, but to also fend off the very prevalent bands of thieves.

So, of course, to defend myself and my family from marauders, I would use all available means to stop them.

Yes in terms of Islam and the Koran, a moderate amount of lies to the seeker of truth is just as eternally deadly as a radical amount.

Well that don't really answer my question though.

I just said I would physically kill attackers. How much more explicitly can I answer it?

The commandment not to kill, means not to murder. If you take it to be, never to take a life, then you better say you are a vegetarian. LOL.

Well that's not my question. This is:

You seem to be playing games. Are you referring to Jesus' asking me? Or are you talking about some policy of Obama's.

I thought it was a pretty simple question, kinda explains itself. If you don't wanna answer you don't have to.

I'm not educated enough on Islam to speak on the matter except to say that I know there are several different types of Islam all with very different philosophies.....I was recently watching an interview with Malcolm X and he was saying that the Islam he learned was just all about black unity, discouraging crime in the black community, discouraging drug use ect...

A lady in my church converted from Islam. Maybe I'll ask her about it.

(if I may, yet again....lol) ......Well?.......Taking a good looky around one's surroundings (unless yer living under a rock, or, when looking, seeing only sand), it would seem, SOMEONE, (actually, many many someones), have been deceived/seduced by the ones crying: "Peace...peace..peace!!", when (actually) "PIECE", is the more they have IN their hearts (lobsters in the pot), and (how can I say it), "Spiritual Atrophy", (WARRING......IN the UNSEEN), has rendered many many of God's Children, of SUCH "non-effect", that, He has given them over to "strong delusion", so that they would BELIEVE a lie (think "rapture doctrine" here, among others, whether, individually, or governmental). This, is a "commonality" in (I calls 'em) "churches of the Paulene Epistles". (Because), To actually "preach" the "WAY"?, falls too heavily on ears, and, lessens attendance, which lessens, money coming in, which lessens the "preacher's/teacher's" salary, which "softens/euphemizes" the WORD, "taught", or "preached"! Whether it be in the "missionary" field, or in one's own back yard. THIS, has been going on and on, since the "garden of Eden incident", and, as Paul aptly called it: "The Great Apostasy".

The "Founding Fathers" of these "several states", KNEW this, and incorporated the "BEARING OF ARMS", as our 2nd amendment RIGHT! NOT ONLY to protect/defend against enemies foreign, but, DOMESTIC as well! I could go on, and on. This LIBERTY we have IN CHRIST, does NOT come CHEAP! Those who lay claim that: "Jesus is the FINISHED work of the cross", or: "ALL I NEEDS do is BELIEVE, cuz, Jesus DID IT ALL", are, ones who are NEW to the "faith"(and don't know better), or (worse), "KNOW, they DON'T WANNA KNOW! (keeping themselves WILLINGLY IGNORANT).

Is hard to state in a mere few words, the "why", of one's convictions concerning "gun control", and "personal defense, and, when NEEDED, offense." Yet, also the "why", it REQUIRES, pretty deep (spiritual) roots, to MAINTAIN these convictions. As with (seed on stoney ground), the "PIECE, PIECE, PIECERS"......Will roll over ya.....EVERY TIME!!

I was thinking that I might read the Quran just to educate myself on that religion. my Pastor says he has read it and he says in some ways it is similar to the Bible only they see Jesus Christ as a prophet and not as the Messiah as we Christians do

I read the book of mormon.....Seems, in the end? They kilt each other off! NOT ONE, was left alive. This is the way I also view the "sons of ishmael".

The "RUB" betwixt the 2 (Christianity & islam), and, the MAJOR reason they HATE Jews, and Christians, is because: "God's Holy Priesthood", did NOT go THROUGH the "seed of ishmael."

Besides about eight different Bible Translations, I have hard copies of the Book of Mormon and the NWT (JW Bible); and on my computer, I have the Catholic Catechism and the Quran.

But, I have only read the BoM and the CC all the way through.
