I was going to say that same thing when I saw the thread. More than a few Vietnam Veterans deserted and not one of them was ever executed.

Private Eddie Slovak was the last U.S. military person executed and the only one for WWII. He was executed in 1945.

They are also saying that since we were not technically at war they cannot execute him.......

Since feminists want full equality they should be treated exactly as men in our U.S. armed forces. No more special training regimens and gender specific programs to accommodate their weaknesses so they can pretend like they're "just as good as the men."

And any draft should require by law the same proportion of women in front line infantry units as men and they should be expected to charge just like the men or face criminal charges under the UCMJ just like the men do. No excuses and no special treatment whatsoever.

Here's what you'll be doing feminists. Since you want "full equality," then this is what that entails. You can't just live off men's sacrifices like parasites. You have to take your rifle and charge the enemy too if you want that. You have to earn it just like the men do and make your life disposable for the greater good.

Want to see what that looks like? Replace the men in this WWII video with women and let's see how they perform. Of course, they'll be "bagged and tagged" just like the men and a folded flag sent to their parents.

Enjoy ladies. Full equality requires you pull your full share of the load and that means you do your full share of the running and gunning, the killing and dying, in war time and I'm not talking about a few ladies being embedded in a front line unit for propaganda purposes like we saw in Iraq either. I'm talking a 1:1 ratio. Or drop the charade and admit your gender differences and stop robbing men for the things they do better and just say thank you.

if he endangered the lives of those he swore an oath to protect it is within the law for him to pay the ultimate penalty.
Thats fine but wanting it to be publicly televised? A bit demented if you ask me.

I've been trying to figure that out also. Reading a lot of post in the News Forum really makes think about the quote in this video.

LOL. Is equality men doing, by far, the vast amount of the killing and dying while women stay safe in the rear with the gear testing for their next promotion to gain rank over the men whom they then send to kill and die? That's not equality. Not by a long shot.

This is the part where feminists start making excuses and justifying men dying while they get promoted. But there is no justification in modern liberal "progressive" feminism (e.g. second wave, third wave, radical, etc...) that holds any water whatsoever with respect to this. Feminists want to deconstruct everything that exists and micromanage every aspect of it but when it comes time for them to affix their bayonets and charge men firing real bullets at them; then there's excuses and argumentation.

AFFIX BAYONETE AND CHARGE! Tough. Tag em and bag em. Now that IS equality.

Or, alternatively, it's time to end the feminist deception and admit it's really feminist supremacy that's caused great harm to the nuclear family, the Christian worldview in culture, many men/boys and as a result many women/girls.

Well you're a bit of an extremist with your hoping a man gets killed on public tv. Nice christian attitude you got there. What's next? Stoning the next celebrity who cheats? Have people pay money to be able to throw a rock?

Apparently you've never read the OT. If it is proven, which has been claimed, that men lost their lives searching for this idiot he ought to be executed.Could care less about it being televised. If lives were lost he should pay with his own.

You're absolutely right, he should. But apparently he won't.

Judge Napolitano: Death Penalty for Bergdahl Seems to Be Off the Table

Col. Daniel King [yesterday addressed] the public to explain the charges against Bergdahl. He explained that Bergdahl has been charged with desertion, which carries a maximum confinement sentence of five years, and misbehavior before the enemy, which carries a sentence of possible confinement for life.

[Fox News contributor Judge Andrew] Napolitano said that it’s not too late to seek the death penalty, but that it sounds like it’s off the table. If the death penalty was being considered, Napolitano said King’s language would have been harsher and the allegations more precise.
Which is disappointing, in my view as a vet. Anyone who pulled this crap in Vietnam wouldn't have had to worry about an Article 15 hearing, or Article 32 proceeding. He'd have never been seen again. I ain't sayin' that's a good thing, but I ain't sayin' it's a bad thing, either.

Sorry liberals. I will not be issuing any apologies for being politically incorrect.

I didn't say anything about it being publicly televised. Have you been reading the hunger games again?

First few years in the Military, I was in complete agreement with you. Then I became the Training NCOIC and had about 25 female soldiers to oversee along with about 35 men. All things being equal, I was surprised at how well the women could function in every aspect of their training. From PT, to Job Skills, to Rifle Range Qualifications. And, when deployed, they were as effective as their male counterparts.

Now, I still DO NOT like the idea of women being in Combat zones..........but the reality today is that there are no distinguishable "front lines." If one is deployed with a unit (even in a support role), there is a very good chance they will come under fire and have to fight just like the men.

I don't think his comment was aimed at you, someone else made a comment about pay per view of executions.

In Desert Storm, we had a multitude of female SAR pilots. I remember one in particular that handled her old Huey like it was a glove and inside was her hand. She was awarded the DFC and the Purple Heart, even though technically she was a "non-combatant."

I also remember "somebody" gave her an M-4 to go with her side arm. Can't remember who that was, though.

You need to follow quotes, since I was talking about an angelfrog quote when you replied to me, so it would make sense that the same angelfrog quote was the focus of our back and forth, and she did mention it being publicly televised. Oncefallen had it right.

IT constantly amazes me that certain topics, completely unrelated to this CHRISTIAN chat...gets so much time and effort and attention. Isn't there a chat that embraces news media and modern thought that would be more appropriate there instead of here? Sheesh! You might as well post your grandmother's favorite brownie recipe in an auto mechanic chat...no difference.

you posted this in the wrong section. There is a "suggestions" section a little further down.

Judas Priest, man, if you don't like the discussion, STAY OUT OF IT, AND OFF THIS BOARD!
