I get an ugly feeling that we won't gain the senate. The wickedness of this nation, a worldly church. I hope I'm wrong. I hope people r waking up.

Christians aren't going to gain the senate whoever is elected in. Just a bunch of slimy, ruthless politicians. We must put our hope in God, not the senate.

Im sorry. I didn't think I had to express the obvious. I guess I do!

Any party that is pro sex perversion, baby killing, anti gun, higher taxes, bigger government, socialism, taking from those that work to give to those that won't, anti business, anti capitalism, anti borders, anti morals, anti children, anti middle class, anti America, pro Mao, pro Castro, pro tyrannies, pro cop killers, pro gov. run health care, pro teachers unions, pro PUBIC school system, pro porn, anti decency, pro public nudity, ...and no, I will not type out all the verifications proving I'm right. Google it all.

Anyway, if you do not fit into that 'we' I mentioned. Sucks to be you. Sorry about your luck.

You didn't give any reasons to be a Republican though, those are reasons not to be a Democrat. I don't think Christians should place their identity in a political party like you did. We should be in league with Jesus, not Newt Gingrich.

I work in a public school and get excellent results from my students. I guess that means I can't consider myself a Christian anymore.

Well according to CNN it seems at this time the GOP will take a slim control of the Senate as well as maintain their hold of the House of Representatives. GOP also made some gains in controlling the Governorships. A few states it seems are still close races and "up in the air" so to speak for the current moment. Kinda interesting election with how very close some of the races are, especially in states that typically are more partisan.

@David_1 - umm you aren't from USA. Politics of Australia can be found over here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politics_of_Australia

Well I think today proves that some conservatives can win back a few seats, and God-willing they will keep their word and reverse the treason that has been going on in this country. I don't think Americans realize just how close we were to collapsing for good on the current route.

Senate is +7 so Republicans gained the Senate; even against multiple cases of vote switching and fraud in MD, IL, and VA.

Congratulations, you looked at wikipedia.

I suspect you'll be teaching as a professor in international relations at the local college now.

Please tell me more about the Secret free trade deal being imposed on us by Republicans, that out politicians can't view, but the Republican Congress gets access to.

Please tell me more about how great that is, and how ignorant I should stay.

Both parties are disgusting!
Yeah, but a bunch of Christians aren't declaring that the Democrats are the one and true party, and only true Christians vote for them.

That's the difference!

sniffle, sniffle. No one is saying the Republicans are angels but on the whole their platform squares closer to biblical standards than the Dems. Need a tissue?

You were wrong: Republicans seize Senate, get full control of Congress - CNN.com

Oh how the Democrats worshipped their false messiah initially. They gathered by the tens of millions and sang songs and cheered him on. It was reminiscent of a religious revival. Having turned away from the true savior, they latched onto a false one. And, of course, all we have to show for their foolishness is a doubled national debt with skyrocketing annual interest payments that will push out benefits for all Americans within twenty years in a declining socio-economic model with an increasingly immoral society increasingly populated by non-Americans perched on top of it.

Now the GOP is back on the rise. But though their socio-religious model is better (they aren't really interested in finishing the destruction of the nuclear family, spreading sweeping immorality, murdering babies, persecuting Christians, etc...), their socio-economic model is seriously flawed with it's inherent monopoly capitalism, unfair trade/unfair trade agreements, and weak stance on immigration. Not to mention they have a history of expensive, unnecessary, war-mongering.

Certainly the Democrats greatly expanded monopoly capitalism, unfair trade/unfair trade agreements, illegal immigration, war-mongering, etc... too under the Obama Administration but if the GOP is also seriously flawed (and it is) then, materially speaking, our nation and society continue to decline. We just decline faster under the Democrats than the Republicans.

In order for this nation to succeed long-term, the GOP must be FULLY ideologically reformed and the irreparable ideology of the Democratic party scuttled into the waste bin of history. And, what are the odds that's going to happen in our lifetimes?
