Let your light shine anyways.

"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." -Matthew 5:13-16

They have become so hard in their conscience they cant possible see any evil except in believers who stand against evil.

Vilolet, you're testimony on the Bruce Jenner thread, about how God used Grace and Love with the Christian woman who would visit you while you were deep in sin, and DID NOT judge you, really had a HUGE impact on how I deal with this issue. At the risk of being presumptuous, would you be willing to retell that account? It may help others see this issue in a different light. No worries if you don't want to. Blessings to you In Jesus name.
My OP link is about "sexually confusing" information in children's cartoons. Sirk, you liked PennEd's reply, I know you have children, would you let them watch "sexually confusing" cartoons?

I don't know about children's movies, but it has been happening in children's books and in schools since the 1990's. There was a gay grade one teacher, and he brought in all these books about "Asha's two mommies" etc. A school trustee who was a Christian started the fight against it.

The teacher's union fought back (my union, sadly!) and I never heard the end of the matter before I moved. Well, I just googled it and apparently it went to the Supreme Court of Canada, and the gays finally won in 2002, although the school board didn't give in and approve the books until 2013. Very sad!

Here is a link, if you care to read. It is quite biased for the gays. But why wouldn't it be, they won!!

The Charter in the Classroom: Students, Teachers and Rights

As a child growing up, I confess I never even thought about these issues. They were simply not age appropriate. I was not even aware of the differences between genders, except the physical ones, let alone "gender identity" issues. It worries me to no end, that children are being exposed to this in school, TV shows and books in school. Is this tolerance, as the link above proclaims, or is this another victory by gays in their agenda?

Something I distinctly remember from that era, when I had to do some substitute teaching because of health issues, was walking into a Surrey Senior High. The first thing that met my eyes was a large, colourful, professional poster about the "Gay-Straight Alliance Club" That's right, these clubs get gays together and pull "straight" supporters in. Yet the gays complain they were cut out of the schools? Not at all. The Surrey School Board was targeting kindergarten and primary classrooms. And the books were riddled with typos and spelling errors. What kind of education is that?

(Sorry, I'm so disgusted by my union and school board!)

And while I completely agree with VR that we should focus on Jesus, what about what Jesus said about the little children?

"but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matt 19:14

How are we letting the children come to Jesus, when we are not protecting them, and allowing them to be thrown into the middle of a debate which most parents do not support, and to be exposed to material that is not age appropriate and not biblical?
