Make the trains run on time, etc... You may refer to me as Il Duce.

The dictionary defines conservative as believing in traditional values, maintaining the status quo, or not favoring change. So my question still stands; to what are they conservative?

So conservative to 20th century AD Italian fascism?

If that be the case that is a hard pick indeed. No one on here strikes me much as a fascist.

Holy cow man what do you think? Lol.

I have to be honest, I was wiping away tears of laughter when I wrote and posted that because I was laughing so hard at writing it.

You'll have to separate the fictional jokes from the non-fiction. I'll help you do that by putting it bluntly: Of course NOT!

That's not what true conservatism is about!

The joke is that the Democrats are destroying the U.S. to "save" the world and the Republicans are countering by destroying the U.S. to "save" the world. The point of the joke is that the U.S. is being destroyed by both the Democrats and the Republicans to "save" the world as they blame each other for destroying the U.S.. It's almost a tongue-twister.

But that's not what real conservatism was, is, nor ever shall be. Real conservatism is about personal responsibility, corporate accountability, traditional values as expressed in Western culture, Christian morality, a limited but well run effective and efficient government, a civil homogenous society, and a host of isms (e.g. anti-colonialism, anti-military interventionism, anti-federalism, anti-monopoly capitalism, anti-"free" unfair tradism, etc...) that despite them being prefixed with anti- really reflect an appropriate balance of isms and not necessarily a blanket rejection of them.

Ok, you pierced my joke and made me explain myself. That's good. You're a good voter. Now why didn't you do that to Obama?

If that be the case that sounds to be an American liberal stance as it would be the end of the current status quo.

Whom do you think I voted for?

Yes well I have jokes but would do the RIGHT thing, in contrast, they lie and are a joke.

I cannot be bought for all the money in the world... literally; I can't be turned by power, fame, ego, sex, substances, etc..; I am wholly immune to the lies, deception, and BS; etc...

Yes, I would be a REAL candidate... something that hasn't been seen in awhile.

Oh! So ...

... just like a real candidate, huh?

Got my vote, AoG!

But, of course, that IS why people like me don't often run for political office. No corporate interests will ever sponsor us, no wealthy elitists nor the associations they've founded (Bilderberg, CFR, etc...) want us in office, and we have no intention on materially profiting from any public office whatsoever and would, in fact, turn our government pay checks back over to the U.S. Treasury to make a moral statement against political corruption even as we set upon a path of reform.

The only thing political office holds for people like me is personal sacrifice, the loss of other options we could be pursuing, and fierce political opposition and constant attack from enraged opponents and the corrupt interests and media organs that support them for setting a standard of the highest possible integrity which they would then be judged against.

And it could even cost me my life for people of integrity like me are routinely assassinated in this world by the criminal and corrupt interests that we naturally come into conflict with in the performance of our duties as public servants.

See the problem?

But then this question comes to mind:

If not us, who? If not now, when?

Since the Republican Party is the party of choice for the New World Order, I suspect the front runner has already been chosen by the faceless men.

I fully suspect it to be a Bush, and I suspect that everything will be done to suppress the Democratic choice of the people to make that happen.

Then I suspect new wars, and new devastated terror attacks on US soil that just happens by 'coincidence' to happen during his reign.

The Oil and War industries will make a lot of money, and the Christians voting here will breathe a sigh of relief that abortion has been crushed, whilst torture and war and death is ramped up.

Wait.... is this 2000?

That's not true, ever since Reagan the conservatives have been trying to change this country from a 3 class powerhouse to a 2 class fiefdom.

That's not true...........the Dems have done more in the last 50 years to undermine our Constitution than the Reups...........ain't saying the Repubs are perfect and blameless, cause they ain't, but the Dems (who profess to be the Party of the Little Guy) have done more to take away our Constitutional Rights than the Repubs in recent History........

Actually you're both right but people don't often step back and look at the box from outside of it.

The best potential nominee they have is Marco Rubio. He would be an excellent choice.

He is handsome and intelligent, plus he's from Cuba, so he knows how harmful it would be to lift our embargo over them. He knows how bad a communist regime can be, and he's taken a hard line on cozying up to the Castro brothers.

I can't believe that the only reason people are against him is because he took a sip of water during a televised speech!

Furthermore, FOX News is the network that berated him for it, and basically declared him unfit to run for that very reason. What is wrong with the GOP? Wake up guys - Marco Rubio is gold for the party.

Naw, he's just another RINO. "The people" are getting the candidates they corporately deserve from both failing parties. Sad but true.

It'll be a Bush, it's already been decided by the faceless men who control the Republican Party.

I suspect War with Iran will be 'made' to happen. Some sort of false flag attempt.

The paranoia is strong in you David_1. So is the ignorance.

You see both of Bush’s major wars—against the 9/11 perpetrators (and their protectors), and against Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq—were clearly and formally approved in advance by Congress in, respectively, its September 2001 and October 2002 authorizations for the use of military force (AUMFs).

Now, on the other hand, Obama’s broad theory of unilateral war powers was first on display in Libya (no Congressional approval) and later Syria (no Congressional approval) as he pronounced an expansive increase of presidential war powers.

Know I share this with the understanding that I would never vote for any Bush, Clinton, or Obama.
