Clinton actually left the economy in pretty good shape although it was really the contract with America that got er done.....being that Clinton's political Capitol was all used up in lying to a grand jury as well as in the sexual predator he was discovered to be.

More "blaming Clinton" :p

Bush was president in 2001, not Clinton.

*nods*

Yes and the grass is green. What that has to do with Clinton failing to take Bin Laden BEFORE 2001 remains a mystery.

Not at all.

Reagan's administration traded arms for hostages to a terrorist nation.
Obama traded terrorists for a hostage.

Reagan cut and ran after a terrorist attack in Beirut.
Obama was president when our military put to death the guy who murdered 3000 Americans. (Ok not a valid comparison on that one.)

Reagan went after a terrorist Libyan dictator by bombing a few tents and missing his target.
Obama joined a coalition to get the same Libyan terrorist dictator, and now the dictator is dead. (Ooops..not a valid comparison again.)

Reagan took office when unemployment was 7.5% and almost two years later it was at 10.8%
Obama took office and unemployment was around 10% for him almost a year later too.

Yeah... obama is just like THIS guy. lol THIS DAY IN HISTORY:

Here's some factors to consider:

President Obama offered to leave a contingent force in Iraq before we ended the War. The Iraqi Government chose by their own volition to not host American troops. America respected the will of the Iraqi government.

ISIS and the other militant groups are no rag-tag group like our propaganda displays them as. These are elite and hardened warriors, some of the most militarily hardened in the entire world. You do not have to like them, but do not underestimate them.

This war is not a one-sided affair. You have multiple factions some intra-Iraq, some international.

Iraq borders Syria, where the currently most bloody war at this moment in time is occuring.

With all that said from the news I seen militants have seized Mosul (extremely important city) and also Tikrit. An estimated 500,000 people have been forced to flee and become refugees. It is now quite possible that Nuri al-Maliki might lose his throne. As far as America is to be concerned, the Iraqi Government which we helped put in place does not want us to bring back ground troops, though they have requested aid. Now we wait and see what happens next.

Some info on the latest in Iraq:

I have a few friends that attend our church, one of whom I served with on our worship team, who intermingle their Christianity with the secular humanist animal farm mentality that the Democratic Party has become. It's really mind boggling to me.

It's getting really ugly in Iraq today. Sharia law imposed, Iran deploying forces, oils prices soaring. Me thinks something earth shattering is in the works.

OK on page #2 people are getting into the blame Carter/Reagan blame Bush/obama on the economy.

here is a tip.. Look to the house and senate control as well.. what you people are doing is looking at the bullet killing the person and not the shooter.

under carter from 1977-1981 democrats held it all. It was also the time that everything went to the garbage.. Reagan's party NEVER had full control of both houses. from 1981-87 it was split between R/D then democrat controlled both from 1987-1995 then repubs took over both in 1995 till 2001 (which was a boom that Clinton gets credit for ironically) 2001-2003 was a split and 2003-2007 was R control then 2007-2011 was full D control. looking at these numbers its easy to see where things really line up. REMEMBER everything fell apart here in 2008-09. Demoncats had control of the house/senate.

seems when ever D are in control of the house/senate things get bad.

Comparing Reagan's economic policies with Obamas......

One made the economy better.

One made the economy worse.

It ain't rocket science.
Actually reagan economics did nothing but lower wages to work productivity levels so it eventually got worse and led to what it is now. Reagan basically made sure companies took power of politicians and the country. Only reason why the economy was better back than because the companies didnt have as much power and didnt hire overseas as much and didnt have such a hold on politicians like they do now.

Also its unfair to blame iraqi soldiers for running away I mean apparently these terrorist are hated by alqaeda and are more violent and do things such as public crucifixions. Also people must remember the current iraqi military is armed with trucks and side arms they dont have an airforce, and I dont think they have any sort of modern tanks or tanks at all.

Actually the giant sucking sound you refer to of jobs and technology didn't start until nafta and GATT..... Long after Reagan left office.

You mean NAFTA and the WTO (which replaced GATT). But you're correct. Bush Sr was the architect and Clinton the one who ratified it into law.

Bush senior was nothing more than a CIA hack spook who was in bed with Saudis. His uncle, Prescott was a nazi sympathizer. Go figure.

I always sort of thought that HW was put there as Reagan's handler...... Only the Gipper didn't "handle" so well and was way smarter than they gave him credit for. Sly as a fox he was...and a principled man with a deep faith.
