13 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. [SUP]4 [/SUP]So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

[SUP]5 [/SUP]And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. [SUP]6 [/SUP]Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. [SUP]7 [/SUP]It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. [SUP]8 [/SUP]All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

I believe all this imagery can be explained by using the meanings from the OT prophets as John wrote Revelation in code so that only Christians familiar with OT writings could understand. Most of the above passage uses symbols from Daniel.

First it is important to understand what a "beast" is:

Excerpts from Dan 7:

[SUP]17 [/SUP]‘Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth.

These "BEASTS are KINGS or KINGDOMS. Now where is the REV 13 beast from?

[SUP]2 [/SUP]Daniel spoke, saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other. [SUP]4 [/SUP]The first was like a lion... ...[SUP]5 [/SUP]“And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear... ...[SUP]6 [/SUP]“After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard.

History tells us who these "BEASTS" were:

Lion = Babylon (Iraq)
Bear = Medo Persia (Iran)
Leopard = Assyria (Syria)

Thus the "Beast from the Sea" was like Syria, his feet like Iran and his mouth like Iraq (ancient Babylon, ancient Babel, the birthplace of idol worship which is false god worship). So, this is the region to watch and indeed is the region where all the trouble is coming from. We are told "they make war against the Saints and overcome them." This is happening right now as Christians in the region flee and are virtually non-existent in these three countries.

So, a Satanic power will arise which practices a false religion (ISLAM), who wages war against the Saints and defeats them who themselves nobody can (successfully) wage war against. Look at all the different nations who are trying to defeat ISIS yet have not succeeded.

Now here is where almost every modern scholar gets it wrong. It is NOT every nation on the planet that ISIS will have authority over, it is every Muslim nation. The Muslim people will become so impressed over the power that ISIS displays and over how ISIS is able to stand up against all the major world powers who come after her like the USA, Russia, France, etc. Thus ISIS will unite the Muslim world like we have not seen since the Ottoman Empire (the head that was mortally wounded).

What false religion does this beast carry? ISLAM of course which is Mystery Babylon, the great HARLOT (False religion) that John sees in the wilderness (Mecca, by the Red Sea). What does this beast do to ISLAM?

She hates it, she destroys it, devours it. She turns it from a peaceful faith to a killing machine faith on all those who will not follow.

Rev 17: [SUP]16 [/SUP]And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

Has ISIS taken over the ISLAMIC religion and turned it into something else? This something else is bent on murder. Friends we are now 1.5 years into the 42 month reign of ISIS. The worst is yet to come. The Man of Sin is only 2 years away from being revealed. We all need to pray.

Nope, the Islamic State is not the Beast. Consider that the preceding signs have not happened yet. The Whore of Babylon is a city drunk on the blood of the prophets. No prophet has ever set foot in Mecca. Mohammad was not a prophet.

There is no radical or moderate religion. You either believe or you don't. The Islamic State, are the biggest believers of islam of the current time. Islam is just a lie though, and sooner or later that lie will fall apart like all lies.

Ninevah, the capital of the Assyrians, is located in Mosul, Iraq ((NOT in Syria. Assyria & Syria are different places and peoples.))

Daesh controls Mosul. it was one of the first major cities they took.

Mystery Babylon is a religious city in a desert by the red sea, its definitely Mecca : p Mecca also does actually behead and kill many Christians. The only place that would qualify for spilling the blood of the biblical prophets would be Israel, and the idea that Israel is mystery Babylon doesnt make much sense : p Jeruselam being destroyed, then no longer being inhabital, and no Arab coming to pitch his tent there again, and then Christ coming to rule from Jeruselam for 1000 years is a bit too far out for me to buy into : p

And the anti christ will worship a god of war. He will magnify himself above all other gods yeah, but literally right after that it goes on to say he worships a god of war, and goes off to glorify this god. People always skip that part and push the idea that he will say he alone is god. And this god will only be one god. How many religions out there worship one god that literally promotes war and death?

I dont think ISIS is the beast, no. But it is openly working to bring in the Caliphate (the one that once was and will be again). I dont doubt this will lead up to it one day.

If Mecca is the Whore of Babylon then you have to acknowledge Mohammad is a prophet because he's the only self-described prophet in history that is known to have entered the city of Mecca. Mohammad is not a prophet, and never was.

Matthew 23:37

[SUP]37 [/SUP]O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Luke 13:33

[SUP]33 [/SUP]Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

ISIS is just a name brand. They are no different than Al Queda. As soon as their supply routes are cut in Syria and Iraq, they will be extinguished in those countries fairly quickly. Many will return to their own countries. They've already lost a huge revenue source by having their oil tankers and refineries bombed.

I thought the beast from the sea or the antichrist was suppose to be a world leader, not a group of people.

I never claimed that muhammad was a prophet? : p Well a messenger of satan, yeah. But not a prophet of God.

I read both of the chapters you quoted from just now, and I dont really understand how it fits the argument?

Aye Mohammad is not a prophet. Therefore a prophet has never been recorded to have walked in Mecca. Therefore Mecca cannot be the Whore of Babylon, which is a city drunk on the blood of the prophets.

Islam is evil to be sure though, but that don't make it the Beast, it just makes it another lie.

What preceding signs? All have happened. The signs are given in Mat 24.

You have to first understand that there were 7 total beasts (EMPIRES) throughout history, one after the other in unbroken succession and all related to each other. Those beasts were Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, Ottoman Empire. Then you have a break, the mortal wound which is healed. Then you have the 8th beast which must continue for a short time, like 42 months. This, I believe, could be ISIS.

Keep in mind that the final beast (8th) which carries the Harlot (ISLAM) then turns on it and devours it and burns its flesh. ISIS hates Saudi Arabia and Mecca. ISIS hates original Islam and they are trying to radicalize it into a killing machine. ISIS so far fits perfectly. I believe ISIS will nuke Mecca. Mecca is the city in the wilderness. It is located near the Red Sea where the smoke of its burning can be seen by ships passing by.

The reference to "blood of prophets" is not about the blood being in the City, its about the religion which have killed prophets everywhere.

It could be said that all these warning signs have happened.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [SUP]7 [/SUP]For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. [SUP]8 [/SUP]All these are the beginning of sorrows.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. [SUP]10 [/SUP]And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. [SUP]12 [/SUP]And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. [SUP]13 [/SUP]But he who endures to the end shall be saved. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Aye, except for one thing:

[SUP]34 [/SUP]Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Exactly. Which generation is being discussed? How long is a generation?

I believe a generation is 70-80 years.

Psalm 90:10
The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

So, which generation? I believe it is the generation that begins to see these signs:

Wars
Rumors of Wars
Nations rising up against nations
Famines
Pestilences
Earth quakes in various places
Being delivered up to tribulation and killed
Hated by all nations because of Christ's name
Lawlessness
Love of many growing cold
Gospel preached in all the world

CHRISTian.

This is why we are hated by all Nations because we have "Christ" in our name. We are hated for HIS name's sake.
