Jeremiah 16

14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be said, The Lordliveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

15 But, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the Lord, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

I was wondering, observing the spiritual force of hatred against Israel among some right now if we are not looking at the moment when the “hunters” will be coming, causing Jews worldwide to return to Israel?

Remember the 6 Days War. Remember how Israel was attacked on day one (or was it the day after?) it was refounded.

I believe it was the war of independence but you are absolutely right. Despite the fact that few of them recognise their Messiah, Romans 11 indicates that God has not finished with Israel.

I don’t think any of us have the whole picture of how this might play out, but I certainly think we are living in prophetic times!

It is hard to argue with that. But, however much the enemy may try, it will happen on God's timetable.

Very good question.

Could verse 15 happen at the Second Coming? ….at the beginning of the Millennium?

Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy. I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.

Genocidal Reminder From Hamas Spokesman: We Won't Stop Until the Jews Are 'Annihilated'

Yes, this is a similar post to last week's. It's essential to reiterate the point because Hamas keeps reiterating the point. Regardless of how some of their apologists in the West spin their actions and agenda, Hamas representatives aren't shy about loudly and clearly stating their genocidal goals in public settings.

So what should be Israel's "proportionate response"?

I am beginning to wonder if part of Zechariah 9 relates to all this…

The Word of Promise® NKJV Audio Bible

1 The burden of the word of the LORD Against the land of Hadrach, And Damascus its resting place (For the eyes of men And all the tribes of Israel Are on the LORD);
2 Also against Hamath, which borders on it, And against Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.
3 For Tyre built herself a tower, Heaped up silver like the dust, And gold like the mire of the streets.
4 Behold, the Lord will cast her out; He will destroy her power in the sea, And she will be devoured by fire.
5 Ashkelon shall see it and fear; Gaza also shall be very sorrowful; And Ekron, for He dried up her expectation. The king shall perish from Gaza, And Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
6 “A mixed race shall settle in Ashdod, And I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
7 I will take away the blood from his mouth, And the abominations from between his teeth. But he who remains, even he shall be for our God, And shall be like a leader in Judah, And Ekron like a Jebusite.
8 I will camp around My house Because of the army, Because of him who passes by and him who returns. No more shall an oppressor pass through them, For now I have seen with My eyes.

Zechariah 9:1-8 NKJV

Lebanon and Gaza seem particularly implicated here along with a post-conflict change in the southern region. Intriguing when you read this in the news:

Tho link above didn’t work so here is the article:

Netanyahu: Israel will have ‘overall security responsibility’ for Gaza ‘indefinitely’ after war

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks with ABC News on November 6, 2023. (photo: Screen capture, X)
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will have “overall security responsibility” over the Gaza Strip “for an indefinite period” after the war against Hamas ends.

“I think Israel for an indefinite period will have the overall security responsibility because we’ve seen what happens when we don’t have it. When we don’t have that security responsibility, what we have is the eruption of Hamas terror on a scale that we couldn’t imagine,” he tells ABC News.

The stance has been uttered by Israeli officials in recent weeks on condition of anonymity, but Netanyahu now puts the stance on the table himself.

It follows comments by other Israeli officials who have said that Israel will need to maintain a military presence inside Gaza in order to serve as a buffer protecting Israeli civilians.

The Austrian National Council held a special meeting yesterday evening to commemorate the 85th anniversary of "Crystal Night", with the participation of the President of the Austrian Parliament, Wolfgang Sobotka, ministers and members of parliament

The speaker of the Israeli Knesset Amir Ohana in a video message noted the signs of rising anti-Semitism around the world and thanked the President of the Austrian Parliament for holding the event and his commitment to the memory of the past and the fight against anti-Semitism.

And he added: "Austria understood from the moment of the attack that this was not just Israel's struggle against Hamas." We are on the front line of the war against radical Islam. If they are not defeated - no Western society will be safe from him.'

The President of the Austrian National Council , Sobotka, stated in his speech that the declaration of solidarity with Israel is also an expression of solidarity with the Jewish community in Austria and around the world.

"The common denominator of November 9, 1938 and October 7, 2023 — those who attacked want to eliminate Jews worldwide," Sobotka said and added:

In 1938 it was Hitler with his gang of murderers. Today it is Ismail Haniyeh and the terrorists of Hamas. The terrorists of Hamas, and they alone, are responsible for the suffering and loss of life in Israel and Gaza.

Hamas committed a war crime when they kidnapped babies, the mentally ill, the sick and the disabled.

They committed a double war crime when they did not evacuate the civilian population from Gaza and inhumanely used them as human shields - in order to produce the "correct" pictures; Pictures of dead children on social networks intended to establish Muslim communities around the world and take them to the streets.

From this stage, on this day, we call again: release the kidnapped.

Every time Israel gets in a kerfuffle the crazies come out of the woodwork....that and Russia.

People who love doom and gloom have some serious depression issues that might need some chemical help proscribed by a psychiatrist and some counseling services of a psychologist.

Just saying.

Are you suggesting that instead of the army we send in social workers to help Putin, Kim, the Iranian leader, a few Hezbollah commanders, the Hamas commanders, and some of these Houti down in Yemen?

This is not about doom and gloom at all. Hamas has repeatedly declared that it wants to ERADICATE Israel and the Jews. And the whole Leftist world is backing them and cheering them on. That is pure evil and has to be seriously addressed. As a matter of fact even now it is not really being seriously addressed.

Listen to this nonsense (published in The Times of Israel):

Blinken: More can and should be done to protect Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Really? Is he telling the Hamas leaders to stop using civilians as shields? No he is directing this to Israel.

You want to see more nonsense?
New top American general says Israeli goal of toppling Hamas ‘a pretty large order’
So why isn't he promising to join Israel and finish the job? Hamas has also threatened the USA. But now the US armed forces are simply Woke and promoting black racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Not bothered about national security or international peace.

I'm honestly not worried about it....
What did Jesus say?
You either believe or you don't.
Eradicating Hamas? Might happen...might not but the crazies will continue. First it was Osama Bin Laden's terrorist network....alQuida....then it was about ISIS/ISIL....now it's Hezbollah and Hamas.
The terrorist networks have been around for a long time....all of them pissed off about Israel and the Jews in general.
PLO?
French Foreign Legion?
Lebanese Liberation Front?

They come and go like cockroaches...

The terrorists don't do anything without the approval of the overlords. Gaza is not paying for the bombs and the tunnels and all the weapons of war, Iran is, Qatar is, wealthy Arabs are. The BRICS alliance will "rule the world" if they can become the protectorate of the Middle East. That won't happen without defeating Israel and the US. This war is over who rules, will the US dollar continue to rule or will BRICS? Their is no backing down. You don't send two carrier battle groups to the Mediterranean and nuclear subs if this is simply another "flare up". When was the last time you saw 46 attacks on US military bases and it is downplayed and minimized by the media? Iran is blackmailing Biden and the US government, they must have some very nasty dirt on them, and Iran is not going to wait for Trump to get elected. It is now or never for Russia, China, Turkey and Iran. The target is Israel, but even more the target is the US. Ezekiel 38 talks about the war on Israel, it also talks about a surprise attack on the US. China will lose $800 billion worth of bonds if the US dollar collapses. If you read Ezekiel 38 the attack on the "unwalled cities without bars or gates" is for plunder of cattle. If you take all of the US cattle (cows, horses, pigs, sheep, goats and chickens), throw in enough farmland to feed the cattle, and throw in the US railroads to transport this to the coast to ship to China then it is a fair trade for the $800 billion we owe them. According to Ezekiel 38 the UK and Saudi Arabia both complain (in the UN?) that they attacked the US for plunder. Because with the US destroyed the BRICS alliance will control security in the Middle East putting Iran and Russia in charge.
