I must thank everyone that helped me clear up this subject in my head. Been really good to hear everyone's opinions especially the Americans. I can now let other ignorant people of NZ know why you guys have guns. Thank you for putting up with me

You're probably right, I don't know the full statistics of it, but governments are the number one killer of humankind.....
defined as Democide.
The long trail of blood at the hands of governments/rulers starting with nimrod, to nero, to hitler to the present, is just astonishing.... my guess is may be over the course of the whole earth's existence at least 3-5 trillion or more people have been executed by governments usually on false pretenses....

That's actually a very good idea/suggestion!....keep a drone in your car and pull over people and send the drone out to collect the license/registration etc. It would prevent misunderstandings/potential violence between LEO's and civilians.
Actually in some applications they are....the technology is already out there in the military to do it....have a drone with a gun on it and they used a similar type of weapon in dallas via a robot ( a type of drone you could say) to bomb the sniper guy.
