People had valid reasons to vote for Ross Perot. I would like to believe one of those reasons was not to help Bill Clinton get elected. But that is exactly what happened as a result of people voting for Ross Perot.
If it becomes clear that a vote for Trump is going to result in Hillary becoming President and a vote for Rubio resulting in Rubio becoming our next President, are you really going to stick with Trump because you just aren't on board with one or two minor policies Rubio has laid out? We all understand that Perot and Trump were outsiders who talked tough about doing stuff that needed to get done. Neither explained exactly how they were going to get votes needed to get that stuff done. Right now, Trump supporters don't care about how or if Trump can work with Congress. For all we know, he and his wife will spend most of their time throwing lavish galas and inviting Hollywood celebrities to come spend the night at the White House. Instead of golf outings during times of crisis, Trump may be taping episodes of a new Presidential reality show on Fox.
But as it appears right now, Trump is the wrong choice to beat Hillary and Rubio is the best chance to defeat Hillary.
