They were/are equally bad.....kills me that an adult bully, temper tantrum, says whatever comes to his mind in the moment.... person has somehow gotten the top job and is the representative for all of us.... the world has to be laughing at us saying what were they thinking?
I was thinking we don't need another FDR legacy, where the government redistributes wealth and then taxes it again. The only reason we got out of the Great Depression was because of WWII, not anything FDR brought to the table. We just had 8 years of some bigoted idiot thinking his job was to take care of the little children called "Americans."

I'm still in the boat with you. Relying on the US government for my daily bread because Christians will not. And stuck on what the government gives us, because even though the same charts are used to determine COL's for Congress as they are for SS recipients, Congress only didn't get a raise one year, because they voted it down, but we're stuck in 2011 COL's with 2016 healthcare costs.

The economy tanked because HUD decided people who can't afford a house should be given a house anyway. Businesses refused the constant tax increases, so they went to other shores. And a skilled middle-aged worker is reduced to part-time work at minimum wages, with the government's response is raise the minimum raise.

In truth, the Democrats talk about helping poor people while stealing from poor people, and the Republicans keep talking against poor people, while setting up the possibility of capitalism so poor people can get jobs. Even we who cannot get new jobs ought to know the more people work, the more they buy, the more they buy, the bigger the demand, putting more and more people back to work, and in the end that means more money in the coffers with a memory of helping those they promised to help in the first place, (because Christians will not.)

I agree with you. We need to be able to count on government, but that's why I voted for Trump. Voting for Hillary would have been the same as Obama with just more incompetency. She couldn't even protect a couple of hundred people in an American embassy who asked for that protection. She lied on what she did/didn't do. And this is who we take for the next President? What happens when the next terrorist attacks us? Do we all go looking for the cause of that attack in a YouTube movie?

I don't trust Trump as far as I can spit. (And when I spit, it rolls down my chin and never comes off.) BUT, we now have a Republican Congress, so maybe, just maybe, we can get out of this recession and people can get work that meets with their age and skill level. Maybe, just maybe, the next time Putin decides to reclaim part of the USSR, America will say NO and mean it. Maybe, just maybe, we can take that fight back to the Middle East so there won't be any refugees. They can live at home. Maybe Israel will have an ally again. Maybe we'll remember cops are usually the good guys.

Maybe? Just maybe, but with Hillary, it was a guarantee none of that would happen and it would get worse.

You're right. I am, and will always wonder, "What were we thinking?" I'll go as far as to ask, "Were we even thinking?" But this was the two evils we were left with, and I couldn't choose her.

Maybe America might even remember we're supposed to help people again.

I beg to differ. We are called to be aware of spirits that are contrary to Godly principles. We are called to wear the Armor of God, and part of our responsibilities is to bring to light those who wish to do harm to truth and integrity.

Blaming one segment of society -- White men -- specifically straight, White, Christian men, is unjust. Our sleeves have been rolled up for a long time, but we're now diminishing the kind of garbage you just spewed forth in an effort to justify your disdain for us. We're speaking out, and its about d*** time.
A bit grumpy today, Mr Straw man?:)

Lets apply this same principle to women.

A real woman doesn't blame anyone else, she rolls up her sleeves and gets things done.

So... if you are a real woman, why don't YOU roll up your sleeves, and figure out some way to make the entire federal govt undo all the abortion laws.

If you're a real woman, why don't you roll up your sleeves, and single handedly, by yourself, go fix everything that's wrong with our country... instead of complaining.

(If you, single handedly, can't do all of this, then don't expect a man to... and stop being absurd. But if you think a man CAN do this single handedly, then so can YOU, and you need to stop complaining, and go fix everything.)

Seems to me, that you no longer have a right to come on this forum, and complain about anything.

Anytime you complain, I will remind you to stop complaining, roll up your sleeves, and go get something done.

You say you don't like something Trump is doing?
I'm going to tell you to stop complaining, because you have no right.
I'm going to tell you to roll up your sleeves, and go make him do whatever it is you prefer.

You aren't allowed to complain about anything... ever again.
Max, for a fortnight I thought you were an intelligent man, but that was a long time ago:).

If you're unhappy with my low level of intelligence,
then by your own principles stated above,
you should roll up your sleeves and do something about it.

You have no right to complain about my inferior intellect.
You have no right to complain about anything anywhere.
You need to roll up your sleeves and do something about it.

Listen, Mr Max, go through the responses you have written to me over the last month, and then repeat what you are saying in post #84. Maybe that will be an eye-opener for you. You have been pretty condescending at times. Tit for tat:).

You're still young yet....one day Lord willing you will be old and the you will be thankful for the benefits that liberals fought for cause you will be happy they are there to use..... It takes libs and conservs to make the world go round in the US anyway... some how or nother we balance each other out.... You know takes two to tango.....
Name seven benefits I have today thanks to liberals. And while you're thinking about that, here are seven aspects of tyranny and godlessness, compliments of liberals:

infanticide, political correctness (thought police), hate crimes (anti-White legislation), open borders, higher taxes upon the worker bees so the drones can sit home and get the rest they need for voting every two years, and a sluggish economy for the past eight years thanks to democrats forcing banks to give home loans to low income people who they knew were not able to afford the monthly payments, Detroit, Baltimore, Camden, Chicago, San Francisco (I only counted them as one). That's my seven. Want more?

I won't join AARP for the same reason. (Agree with Obamacare, my eye!) But last I checked, unless you live in Salem County, (even Gloucester went Democrat ), you're pretty much stuck with liberal government (Christie is a Rhino) and liberal companies.

And, not dissing you. It can get worse. I live in Philly. We Republicans are California Condors. We really are an endangered species. lol (I am proud that 1/6th of Philly is still Republicans. In my neighborhood, I saw as many Trump signs as Hillary signs, and no one threw bricks through the window.)
Condors. Lol. But in a sad way.

No they both sides stole from Social Security why do you think it is going broke....We workers put our money into it for years and they both sides gave it to every cause they could think of and then some... and now want to call it an entitlement when it has been funded by workers the entire time.... They all need to be kicked out and start over...politicians that is....
Funny how we always hear SS and Medicare are going broke but welfare and Medicaid are never mentioned. That's funny, right? How planned parenthood going "broke".

It wasn't my intention to be condescending.

But sometimes you say things that are just illogical.
So I point out the illogic...
and your response is.....
to ignore what I said and just call me stupid, lol.

This whole thing is like going to the carnival and trying to navigate the house of mirrors.

I think some might even use the term gaslighting.

Yup. Most people have no intention of fighting fair...ever. I see it all around me in real time. Little ways people manipulate and create confusion. We haven't done it right since Eve was too much of a moron to go ask God about this crafty creature called the devil and seek clarity from God on what he was saying.

What I find incredibly ironic are people who read other fake news articles like Michelle is really a man or Obama's secret service agent writes a tell all book about how he's really a gay Muslim fanatic getting mad at other people who are doing the same thing about Trump. Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

Now then... Whoever would publish this without anything to substantiate it is unethical and untrustworthy. Just as the people who keep repeating the fake news... be it about Trump or about Obama being gay/Michelle being a dude. It shows how juvenile and low you're willing to go... it shows how gullible you are... it shows how your hate blinds you to the point of losing all credibility when discussing topics like this.

,

Discussing, no.
Foolishly wasting your time, yes.
I was disappointed when Obama was elected, but that was the will of the people.
The system worked. I accepted it and moved on with my life.
It seems that some of you folks still think you can change the outcome.
:pWhen you posted this post, would you consider your post a waste of your time?
