Lol well then ironically Obama did his job if his playbook demands he is to create chaos. If then President Trump is the law and order candidate, then it seems he isn't doing his job. Maybe he will in the future, or maybe he won't.
when a homeowner hacks up the wiring in house and then calls me to come fix it, I don't have the ability to snap my fingers and make it right. It takes effort and sometimes hours of troubleshooting to make it right.

Okay. In your view, then, does the human condition preclude there ever being peace among people of differing views, because what is normal after all is not conducive to conciliation?

Sure, but at least you're trying. You showed up, you start the process of troubleshooting, you put in effort, eventually you'll make it right. So you're doing your job.

Now if all these subversives and criminals are running amok in my society even right in front of police and even in some instances the national guard and they aren't even doing diddly squat besides watching them do it and huffing and puffing about it, then I have to think they ain't doing their job.

Or should I just come in and throw bigger breakers in and assure that his house burns to the ground?

I feel pretty at peace with people with widely differing views from me. Now they might hate me and each other and wish all sorts of harm upon me and each other, but that doesn't steal my peace.

The delicate Snowflakes are already crying and sniveling that police are arresting criminals, and they are trying to block even that. Traitorous Anarchists is all they are.

Lol I don't know about being traitorous, but let them cry about it, ain't illegal to cry anymore than it is illegal to arrest criminals. At least they're doing something!

Well if they are free to assemble and free to speak then why do you call them subversive for doing exactly that?
Do I really need to define subversive for you?

You are going to refuse reality to the point I have to define words for you?

Subvert means to overturn, overthrow, or displace.
Subversive means to do, or to plan to do, these actions.

If I lived next door to you, and met daily with a group of people,
and we all planned, and schemed, ways to break into your house,
kill you, and take your home from you...
would you be ok with that?

We would be very dangerous and evil neighbors.
We would be "subversive"... in planning to displace you from your home, and harm you.

Yet... we couldn't be arrested till we were caught breaking a specific law.

This is the world in which we live.
This is the "down side" of living in a free society.

I can't make any of this more clear.
This is all very simple, and very clear.
I think clarity on this issue IS the entire problem.
You KNOW exactly what I'm saying... you just REFUSE to agree to anything that is factually correct.
It's the same as your belief that the earth is the center of the solar system... regardless of the evidence.
You believe in a geocentric model because you REFUSE ALL RATIONAL EVIDENCE & DISCUSSION.
You REFUSE reason and evidence... it's just how you choose to live.

Refusing evidence, and refusing logic, and refusing reason... this is just the mental world in which you live.

Nothing can be done.
When people refuse to accept provable reason and evidence... the debate has been won.
When people refuse to accept reason and evidence... they have lost the debate.
It is over at that point.

You have backed yourself into a corner where you refuse reason and evidence.
The debate is therefore over.
To refuse reason and evidence, is to acknowledge defeat.

We're done here.
This is over.

I know what subversive means, hence the question. If they are doing what the law allows them to do, how are subversive?

Indeed in your example you're not really subverting me unless you act upon your fantasies.

As for your other quandary about cosmology, I simply say show me what the Bible says. If you will refuse to accept what the Bible plainly says then indeed there is really no point in continuing to try to make you believe in the Bible, you will simply continue into heresy.

Logical fallacy. You and dude have that in common. Appealing to higher authority in an attempt to win. You've already lost man. The clock ran out. The buzzer buzzed. The fat lady has sung.

Does the Bible say the earth is flat?

But it does not say it is flat?
No it never really says it is flat. Just that it is a circle and that heaven is spread out above it like a tent. I guess take a look at a circle and then take a look at a tent.

You mean the other subject where I stated the opinion of a friend who served in Afghanistan........ maybe if you would stop being a pompous self righteous jerk for about 5 seconds or so you might realize that yours is not the only valid opinion.

How big of a tent? Would that matter? It seems if I am to get an accurate picture based on what you are telling me, then that would make a difference. Or I could read Scriptures literally where I think the verses are meant to be taken literally, poetically where they are presented that way, and figuratively when a metaphor or analogy is given, and not take it literally, making David an actual apple in God's eye, for instance, as if God had an eye, or Jesus was a wooden door, because He is a gate after all :)

One thing I am is consistent. My experience with you and my frustration with you is that you are not. I'll take self righteous jerk over inconstistent idealogue any day.

Believe it as it is written, it's not that complex if you actually have faith in the Bible, even just a tiny bit of belief. Even what is literal can be a metaphor and what is a metaphor is literal. David was indeed an apple of God's all seeing eyes, Jesus is literally the only door to salvation. The literal husband and wife is a living metaphor for God and the Church. The literal sheep are living metaphors of mankind.
