You bring up a valid point. The anti-Christian cultural persecution falls heaviest on pastors and their families. Obviously the wolves' in clerical clothing compound the problem immensely for those who are genuine.

No I'm not defending him! I'm tired of preachers in general being bashed..... so many have already spoke harshly of ministers & what they're doing...... therefore every minister gets bashed in the end, the good & the bad as one group. All I've heard is how the ministers are rotten & sinful..... I'm a minister, so how do you think that makes me feel?

What's the alternative, giving crooks and reprobates uncontested access to our sheep? And, letting the secular media expose them because we failed to do so? If we were more serious about denouncing false preachers, there would be a lot fewer of them to denounce.

This news has nothing to do with anyone on here, only to put in their worthless 2c opinion of the man. Gossip much?

The END of the AGE and destruction on a biblical scale in accordance with the God of heaven!
Have a read about the history of the Inquisition and the Middle Ages. The horrific stuff they used to do to each other. 1000 times worse than today.

Don't try and make out like you know when the time is near. It could be another 1000 years or 100,000 years from now.

Not every bad deed is the end of the universe. Literally.

I've found that most of those books are riddled with error. Furthermore, in instances where such things did occur they were often politically motivated and the numbers much lower than people assume. For example, the entire Crusades cost about a million lives on both sides and the Spanish Inquisition about 31,912 and that took centuries while just Chinese state atheism under the PRC in the 20th century is responsible for between 60-70 million lives lost if you include the Great Famine (35 million if you do not).

Please share the one you've read so that I may qualify it for myself. In the meanwhile, I suggest 'Soviet Antireligious Campaigns and Persecutions (History of Soviet Atheism in Theory and Practice and the Believers' by Dimitry Pospielovsky as an introduction to the mass murder state atheists engaged in.

I do agree with you; however, that not every bad deed is the end of the universe. If it were, the universe would have ended a long time ago... lol.

Aside from the wild immoral life he lived from the pulpit no less, he should be in prison for the embezzlement of funds and knowingly spreading AIDS which are both against the law.

Go ahead and love him. Say a prayer for Charles Manson while you're at it... lol. But to me, he's a disgusting fraud who should be locked in a prison cell for his crimes. The bonus, of course, is that in a prison cell he won't be able to grossly misrepresent Christianity and bring shame on the name of Christ any longer.

That's your opinion, not mine. God hates those who do evil, so says the word of God.
So that means we should all be cast out and left to die, but no! God had mercy on us, and if mercy while we were sinners, how much more when we are His son? Or is this man's sin to grievous? Has he gone too far that he can't be restored? No! Considering he confessed, not just found out but confessed, so he's looking for help but people want to tear him apart. Doesn't galatians 6 say that if any man is overtaken by a Transgression to restore him by a spirit of gentleness?

The Bible teaches that pastors are be blameless. And, the Bible teaches, "Expel the wicked man from among you." and "hand this man over to Satan,"

but no! God had mercy on us, and if mercy while we were sinners, how much more when we are His son?
If someone goes on deliberately sinning after coming to the knowledge of truth, there is no more sacrifice left for sin.

He confessed, but without a doubt that confession only came after getting caught. He wasn't being repentant, he was trying to save his position by taking control of how the congregation would her the news. He attempted to replace the board of deacons with men who wouldn't kick him out. If he were repentant, he would have at least confessed and stepped down from leadership.

For someone truly repentant, then Galatians 6.

Yes he most certainly should be put out and 2 corinthians 2 6-8 should be fulfilled along side that.
I don't think anyone of us here can judge whether he is repentant or not, it's only a news article. We don't know what was going on inside this man whilst it was all happening, fear of repercussions?

Feel terrible for those he has infected. Absolutely tragic to see that. No way these folks would have had sex with him had he had been honest. He should be in prison.

Makes you wonder how many people really are born again Christians.
Well one thing is for sure we are all sinners, I don't know about you but I have fallen on my face lately with sin....
I wouldn't be able to cast the first stone that's for sure. I am not saying that this guy is better than I am but I know I have broken every single one of the 10 so no stones being thrown here by me. Anyone out perfect to throw that first stone?

I wonder that I would ever marry again when even pastors do those things and look at pornography on their church computers.
Pastors are just as human as the rest of us. Not all guys are jerks as there are many strong single Christian men who would be worthy of consideration as prospective mates besides pastors or ministers.

wow..this is all very sad..but it is his punishment for abusing his church authority and sleeping with other church members. Don't any of these people have morals? Or common sense? I hope to God he gets disbarred or whatever they call gettind rid of pastors. I feel sorry for his family, and the families of anyone he slept with who may now get the AIDS virus. I however have no sympathy for him or those who slept with him, knowing it was wrong for one, and did'nt use protection of any kind. These people are now reaping what they have sown.
I for one have sympathy for these people who had sex with the pastor. When you have sex their is a risk but you tend to expect the person who has AIDS to tell you before hand. The pastor is a jerk (and thats putting it kindly for the sake of this sites censorship) and in my opinion these woman should not be told "well you should of known better" because lets be honest sex happens all the time without something getting aids but the two people involve are usually not jerks like the pastor and would tell their partner that they have an STD. Pastor should be in prison for a long time, in my opinion.

That incredible piece of crud posing as a mad of God was back in the pulpit this past Sunday, even after the church leadership voted him out by 80-2 vote. It looks like like the church leaders are going to try to get a judge to boot the piece of crud.

And, no matter how awful a preacher can prove himself to be, there's always those people who come to his defense with their usual godless twaddle about not judging. Come on people, raise the standards for those who you let lead you. Ignorance begets ignorance.

You are a nasty and evil person and I am totally sick of this place. You made a post on another thread directed at me claiming someone said awful things about you yet that is what you do. You claim that person has the spirit of the enemy? You have some nerve. How dare you!

The pastor is wrong to not tell a person he has aids and people shouldn't be fornicating. You have no sympathy? What about compassion? I don't think you know what that is. And you can just forget trying to get your jerk friends on here to gang up on me, especially that Ugly person whose soul is totally ugly.

I'm done with this place and the phony Christians on it.

And also don't bother getting white trailer trash to give me the most disgusting insult in regards to my husband or marriage. And then go around reading my posts and liking them after giving me a vile insult? Totally crazy.

I think you have a problem and I don't need to waste my time on the internet like this around a bunch of losers.

You have no sympathy?
I have no sympathy for people who suffer the consequences of their own sinful acts. I'll save my sympathy for widows, orphans, and those who suffer hardship in spite of making moral choices. BTW, your post doesn't look very compassionate? Do you save your sympathy for the wicked?
