If this had occurred at a Bar, and the women covered in mud, folks would have paid good money to watch.....and the kid would have been a "special attraction" on the Marquis out front.
This isn't exclusive to the USA either. I remember quite well my first experience of shopping on the local German economy. I went into a clothing store looking for a pair of jeans, and found a table full of jeans with a sign in both German and English announcing all jeans on the table were 1/2 price.
When I approached the table, I was the ONLY PERSON in the Store at the table. The minute I picked up one pair of jeans to check the size, about 8 or 10 women SWOOPED IN from nowhere to physically SHOVE me out of the way, and they TORE INTO that stack of jeans as if they would be the LAST LIVING EXAMPLES of wearable denim ever created.
At first I was kinda upset, but the more I watched them, the more I laughed. I walked away (jeanless), and as I passed the Sales Lady at the counter up front, she kinda smiled, shrugged, rolled her eyes and said something about the Sud Deutsh. Whatever that means.
