Wow people are rude. I'm so over this thread now. Who cares about the stupid pope. Never will I post about the pope again
That's a rather childish way to act. The pope is not head of all churches. He is head of the Catholic church, so those of us who are not Catholic don't really consider what he says. We aren't downing the pope, but we do not see him as out spiritual guidance. If the pope said it is a sin to wear blue socks on Tuesdays most of us would ignore it since we do not see him as a spiritual leader. He is pretty much for the Catholics. Not Christians.

The thing is why the pope is so widely discussed is because of two reason;

1) Highly respected he is in the Catholic and Christian communities, and should speak rightly on the basis of God's word.

2) The fact that even Catholic's teach in their catechism classes that even they believe that one of pope's will turn out to be the false prophet.

So people are always listening to what he says to either be inspired or see how he is teaching against the word of God again. Which has been the case in the catholic church since the Romans corrupted it.

Your 2 is wrong. That may be what you were taught unfortunately, but I've never seen it nor taught it.

I believe what he meant is consistence with the old doctrine that said no salvation outside catholic church.

Now they change even muslim/outside the catholic church, is save.

Yes Muslim not have direct relation with Jesus. In other word, you don't need to have direct relation with Jesus to be save.

It is Anti bible teaching, It is Antichrist.

Thats not what he said and you know it. Muslims are lost. He was speaking about not have ONLY a personal relationship with Jesus for THAT can be dangerous and harmful. Without fellowship and relying only on yourself, the Devil and the Flesh and the World can and will lead you astray.

[TD]16. Finally, those who have not yet received the Gospel are related to the People of God in various ways.[SUP]18 [/SUP]There is, first, that people to whom the covenants and promises were made, and from whom Christ was born according to the flesh (cf. Rom. 9:4*-5): in view of the divine choice, they are a people most dear for the sake of the fathers, for the gifts of God are without repentance (cf. Rom. 11:28-*29). But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Moslems: these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day. Nor is God remote from those who in shadows and images seek the unknown God, since he gives to all men life and breath and all things (cf. Acts 17:25*-28), and since the Savior wills everyone to be saved (cf. 1 Tim. 2:4). Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience—those too may attain eternal salvation.[SUP]19[/SUP]Nor shall divine providence deny the assistance necessary for salvation to those who, without any fault of theirs, have not yet arrived at an explicit knowledge of God, and who, not without grace, strive to lead a good life. Whatever good or truth is found amongst them is considered by the Church to be a preparation for the Gospel[SUP]20[/SUP] and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life. But very often, deceived by the Evil One, people have lost their way in their thinking, have exchanged the truth of God for a lie and served the creature rather than the Creator (cf. Rom. 1:21 and 25). Or else, living and dying in this world without God, they are exposed to ultimate despair. Hence to procure the glory of God and the salvation of all these people, the Church, mindful of the Lord’s command, "preach the Gospel to every creature" (Mk. 16:16) takes great care to encourage the missions.

Pope Francis described as "dangerous" the temptation to believe that one can have "a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ without communion with and the mediation of the church."

I am really disturbed he said this. I know now not to follow this man's teachings at all.
Does this man even read what the bible says
NO and if He does he rejects it in favor of dogma!

There is no reason to even go to church if you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ outside of the church.

Otherwise, you are reliant on the church for your spiritual needs and not on Christ.

The church is not to provide you with a high priest. The church is not to be the only source of where the Lord Jesus Christ is.

You have a High Priest and you can call on Him, even when you are not in church.

The only ones its dangerous for to have a personal relationship with Jesus outside the church are the false churches who believe they are the "one" true church. They won't be able to tell you they are the one source for truth anymore if you are in touch with the Truth Himself.

Having another thread to bash Catholics for being Catholic?

It shows an ignorance about Church history.

Yes, you are a protestant. Yes, you believe your way is the only true way.

I fail to see the reason to continually bash other religions.

Has the Pope even read the Bible? What an ignorant question. Where do I even start with how ignorant that question is?
