Geesh, get over it! A salute is a salute, whether you're holding a latte or a dog! LOL! :)

If I were him, I would have at least held the coffee in my left hand while saluting with my right hand. ;)

Dog in left hand, salute with right hand. I wonder if they would have made a big deal about it on the news if Obama had been holding the coffee cup in his left hand when he saluted with his right hand.

Must be quite a shock to some that he is human and not perfect, perhaps even more so to himself. Still would have been better if he had spilled it all over himself. Much more Bush like since he is evolving into Bush-lite.

Both salutes were are disrespectful to the person on the receiving end of the salute, but the American military men and women are not in the practice of worrying about such petty things. I'm sure that most of us have stories of leaders who returned disrespectful salutes. All in the job!

It's not so much the latte but they way he did it so casually like he just wanted to get it out of the way. Bush was in the navy so at least he puts some effort into it..
