So, you're disgruntled then.

You don't have to believe what Catholics do. But being militantly against us isn't going to do anything either. I believe what I do because it resonates with me. I am perfectly fine with other versions of Christianity because I know our system isn't for everyone. How about you return the favour and play nice instead of running us down at every opportunity.
I don't have the energy to run so your observation is moot.

But my name is in the lamb's book of life and that is just as important.

Jesus Christ is Lord. Will that do?
for one thing, there is no way of absolutely knowing your name is written therein and also, in Rev it says you can have your name blotted out of it so--

What has that got to do with me. I have never taught that.
like i said

u could fill in the blanks with all kinds of mythological beliefs Catholics supposedly adhere to... really bizarre, actually but I guess people believe their non-Catholic pastors... just take t heir word for stuff... no investigation needed..

scary

makes onethink of Jim Jones.

Nice try, but I am not one of those ignorant ones as I worked in the catholic education system so I saw everything first hand. And I specialised in asking dye in the wool catholics pertinent questions.
to u they were pertinent... to Catholics they could have been misguided... and a few other words come to mind... In other words, some questions Protestants pose... operate from a false premise...

therefore, a simple answer will not suffice... Take an RCIA class if u want to know whatthe Church really teaches... and I hope u find a REAL Catholic teaching it... nothing is guaranteed these days... sigh

Whatever. I don't take anyone's word for anything. I do my own research.

Whatever. The word of God is good enough for me and I know that I know so sorry about that.

the Word is awesome

But being in the Real Presence of Jesus is... well, words fail...

Transubstantiation is in the Bible, just not in that word-form.. John 6:27-72

The word is awsome? What is that supposed to mean?

Transubstantiation is in the mind of Catholics that can't think for themselves.

Jewish expositors used manna as a symbol for spiritual food. Jesus referred to eternal life not literal bread. Drinking the blood of the lamb or any animal was totally forbidden.

Everything that a protestant believes is mythology to rusted on catholics.
What you are actually saying is that you know nothing about protestant beliefs except what you have been told by the catholic church which is hardly an authority on protestant beliefs. They are an authrority on their version of protestant beliefs but what church doesn't make up lies to protect their territory.

haha

this is comical.

I have never once heard the Catholic Church by way of its priests discuss the Protestant "churches" to speak of..

so there's that..

I did hear a good priest tell a joke once:

man tells his priest he is losing the faith

priest asks: So which of the Protestant communities would you be interested in joining?

man replies: I said I was losing my faith, not my mind..

Titus 1:16
[16]They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good.

One can post passages straight from the catechism and some will say you know nothing of the catholic religion. The indoctrination is strong.

right. Non-Catholics always know more about the Catholic faith than practicing, life-long Catholics..

that's logical

So the catechism is wrong? Ive seen people post verbatim from the catholic "holy book" and you claim protestants dont understand

there are different catechisms

I tend to only trust the Baltimore Catechism which was written before the loony liberalism infested the Church.

But even if one were to quote from that (which I have no inclination to believe anyone at this forum has)

that does not compare to someone who has studied Catholicism rather in-depth and more importantly has LIVED it.. as I have for decades. I've been both inside and outside the RCC

inside is better.. although the way things are going in the hierarchy... all the rebellion and unorthodox teaching.. moving "priests" around rather than defrocking them... I just don't know what to say...

Yet Jesus promised that the gates of Hell would not prevail against His Church (which: you'd have to believe that that is NOT true if you believe what Protestants often teach, namely that in the 4th century, the Church disappeared and only existed underground...)

No, Jesus said the gates of Hell itself would NOT prevail against His Church
