Russians, Syrians and Iranians setting up military coordination cell in Baghdad

EXCLUSIVE: Russian, Syrian and Iranian military commanders have set up a coordination cell in Baghdad in recent days to try to begin working with Iranian-backed Shia militias fighting the Islamic State, Fox News has learned.

Western intelligence sources say the coordination cell includes low-level Russian generals. U.S. officials say it is not clear whether the Iraqi government is involved at the moment.

Describing the arrival of Russian military personnel in Baghdad, one senior U.S. official said, "They are popping up everywhere."
This goes hand-in-hand with another thread from Fox News I started earlier this afternoon:

Obama, Putin to discuss Syria, Ukraine at U.N. next week

It is troubling -- or perhaps the setup to prophetic fulfillment, take your pick -- that Russia is joining "nations to the north" of Israel (as is Russia = "Gog and Magog") prior to ... whatever comes next.

Here's an interesting take on this story:

Obama’s Collapsing War on the Islamic State

For the Obama administration, the news from the Middle East keeps going from bad to worse. Vladimir Putin’s power play, moving significant military forces into Syria to support his ailing client, Bashar al-Assad, caught the White House flat footed and unsure how to respond.

Although the administration gave the Kremlin de facto control over American policy in Syria some two years ago when it walked away from its own “red line,” granting Russia a veto on Western action there, President Obama and his national security staff nevertheless seem befuddled by this latest Russian move.

The forces Mr. Putin has just deployed to Syria are impressive, veteran special operators backed by a wing of fighters and ground attack jets that are expected to commence air strikes on Assad’s foes soon. They are backed by air defense units, which is puzzling since the Islamic State has no air force, indicating that the Kremlin’s true intent in Syria has little to do with the stated aim of fighting terrorism and is really about propping up Russia’s longtime client in Damascus.

The White House is left planning “deconfliction” with Moscow—which is diplomatic language for entreating Russians, who now dominate Syrian airspace, not to shoot down American drones, which provide the lion’s share of our intelligence on the Islamic State. The recent meeting on Syrian developments between Mr. Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who clearly finds dealing with the Russian strongman preferable to parleying with President Obama, indicates where power is flowing in today’s Middle East.
Add to this incompetence on the part of Obama and the advantage-seeking of Puton is the fact that "senior administration officials" quite likely demanded a revising downward of intelligence briefs to make it appear ISIS was being fought off, rather than the now obvious truth that ISIS is growing, flexing its muscles, and will likely carry out a successful attack on Europe or the U.S. soon.

Really give me a warm fuzzy feeling all over. And if you don't recognize sarcasm when you read it, my deepest sympathies.

I doubt that the befuddled-in-chief's new leftard homosexual femi-nazi military is going to be delivering desirable results against hardened orthodox Muslim jihadists moving forward. The past successes are a thing of the past.

We could write a book on the causes but one that stands out beyond the obvious (an immoral homosexual, femi-nazi military simply isn't as good at the military craft of decimating the enemy and securing their territory as the heterosexual generational male military was) is the issue of morale, which has reached "rock bottom," presently affecting the U.S. military despite almost $300 million being spent in an attempt to raise it.

While the latter is a result of various causes, one of them is that the moment a man enlists in the modern United States armed forces his chances of being homosexually assaulted increase by a factor of ten now. In fact, more military men are homosexually assaulted than women are (heterosexually or homosexually combined) assaulted: nearly 14,000 men in 2012 alone.

Obama's response to "fix" the problem, was to appoint a homosexual civilian to run the army in a master plan akin to placing a fox in charge of a hen house to figure out why the hens are disappearing.

DEBKA claimed there was a Russian sub with 200 nukes aboard headed for the Mideast. I think this is a bit more credible than a conspiracy-therist couple posting wild-a** guesses from their living room. Or maybe that's how Obama's intelligence staff does it too?
